COLOR CODED PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION ALL WRONG

By Betty Freauf

Let's see now, do you live in a blue state or a red state? Why on earth did someone decide to code America in this manner for the 2004 presidential election?

I've heard about the red carpet treatment that Hollywood and bureaucrats who ought not think so highly of themselves undeservedly give to one another in their mutual admiration society.

And then there is the red herring - a procedure used to train hunting dogs to follow a scent and a red herring (or a bag of them) is dragged across the trail in order lead the animal astray. The mainstream media and lately, many conservative talk show hosts, pull this on us on a daily basis.

Then there is Little Red Riding Hood, Superman's red cape, "Red" Skelton, Red Lion Inns, the red lobster, the Red coats in our war for Independence, Red China, the Red Sea, the red moon and the red skies in Acts 2:20, a sign of the end times.

And we've all heard the story about the little Red Hen who asked a number of farm animals to help her plant the seed and later harvest the grain and make it into bread. They all were too lazy so she did it herself. But when the grain ripened and she baked bread, they came to eat with her but she refused them. Oh, that our welfare system should take a lesson from the Little Red Hen.

I don't want to belabor the point but recently I learned that in a 1991 teacher training session in the Houston area taught the evils of red ink claiming it had a very negative impact because red is so symbolic of wrong answers. Give the students self esteem by not correcting their work in red, give their parents a bumper sticker that says they are great honor roll students and then these "award junkies" go off to college and are in for a brutal surprise in their first semester when they find they aren't as great or as smart as they were told and are reduced to shame by being subjected to remedial programs.

And, aaaah. Valentine's day only a few days ago. The red heart is a symbol of love and more charges to the already overextended credit card debt of many just to prove some romantic point.

But was the red on the presidential election map meant to stand for "red necks" as opposed to the "blue" for those who believe themselves to be more highly educated - the intellectual types who live in crowded neighborhoods and high rise apartments stacked together like the dumbed-down cattle they are perceived to be by the globalists fighting the bumper to bumper traffic or having to ride the commuter trains? All this while their homeless reside under bridges and in "tent" cities.

Many of these "red necks" on the other hand live in open spaces and have an independent spirit which drives the environmentalists crazy. These "red necks" praise the Founding Fathers for the foresight to give us the Second Amendment which gives the intellectuals in the Blue States the right to spew out their grateful First Amendment/free speech anti-American diatribe. Many of these "red necks" unashamedly hang their Second Amendment (guns) on the racks in their pickup trucks and although crime exists in these red states, it is much lower than in the blue states.

While I live in the blue state of Oregon, it's the "progressives" in the Willamette Valley with the big cities that always wags the tail of the dog at election time as happens in other blue states. These folks outvote the conservatives in the the red counties but it is primarily the ones in the conservative red counties who are sacrificing their young people in the Iraq war. To date, something like 40 from a state with a population of about three million.

As you'll recall the map, all these states, with a very small scattering of blue counties throughout the U.S., were along water. Shipping was and still is an important part of our economic survival and also a target of the labor unions which support the Democrat socialist agenda.

Which brings me to why I think the blue states should have been colored red. One of the 45 declared Communist goals states the attempt to outlaw the Communist Party in the U.S. should be resisted. This has been accomplished. Communism is alive and well in America. Communism has always been the goal. Reagan's demand that the Berlin Wall come down and that Communism fell too was a cruel joke.

Paul Cappadona in his book Taking Back America, The Party's Over says the communist infiltrators into our industries as well as our government has given us countless regulations and numerous unnecessary changes at the expense of hard-working American citizens. He says the two-party system should be eliminated and ironically, another Communist goal said "Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States." If you check out the website, you'll see how many of the other Communist goals have been fulfilled.

We are a nation divided and a nation divided against itself is doomed to failure. While the GOP claimed an overwhelming victory for George W. Bush for a second term as President, we all know the election was closer than they'd have us believe and the votes for Kerry came from the heavily populated Blue States while Bush carried the more conservative, sparsely populated "red" states.

Americans are fearful of the future.

In the same way many animals seem to know about an impending earthquake, the human race seems to be restless and having feelings of some unforeseen impending doom. We have chaos all over the world. Letters to the local editor express many of these concerns and disagreements. The battle lines between the red and the blue are becoming more and more distinct. Class warfare is alive and well all planned by the globalists for when we are busy fighting among ourselves we don't pay attention to what they are doing behind closed doors. Instinctively many sense the storm is building.

Our textbooks have been revised to erase pertinent history which our children should know. It takes only one generation of dumbed- down public school children to forgot the past. We now have several of these generations.

In Deuteronomy 1-3 in the Bible it stays Moses knew the best way for his followers to prepare for the future was by understanding the past. He knew he was going to die before reaching the Promised Land and the success of the nation depended upon its obedience to God so he wanted to make sure that generation knew past history and the law again so they didn't make the mistake of their fathers who spent time in the wilderness and with the exception of Caleb and Joshua, all succumbed there.

But the Communist goals was to present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as "normal, natural, healthy". Churches were to be infiltrated and "social" religion was to replace time-honored traditions as well as removing prayer and all religious expression in the schools on the grounds that it violates the principle of "separation and church and state" which is NOT in the constitution.

Another of the Communist goals was to get control of the schools and use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda, soften the curriculum and get control of teachers' associations and put the communist party line in their textbooks. Loyalty oaths were eliminated.

And now there is an organization whose President is Raven Brooks, a software engineer, which tracks where big corporation donations are going and which ones are promoting progressive values. For example, while he claims Wal-Mart is a union buster, he praises Wal-Mart's competitor, COSTCO which he says is union friendly. What Raven (of Indian ancestry) is doing with his biased website is to expose the campaign contributors to Republican candidates and discouraging patronage of these corporations. What Raven doesn't understand is that the two-party system is in bed together.

This reminds me of my husband's non-union barber who used to cut the hair of the President of the local Teamster's Union. These organization "misleaders" expect their union members to do one thing while they do another. Such hypocrisy but I sense the union members are catching on.

I recently saw a picture of Microsoft's Bill Gates, the richest man in the world, in January in Davos, Switzerland with a number of the world's political and financial elite, for the annual World Economic Forum. On the agenda was a proposal for a UN global tax. Another Communist goal is to promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind and the very corporations that should be opposing this agenda are the big businesses that are jumping on board.

These so-called intellectual "progressives" such as Raven Brooks just don't get it. Prices would not be out of control if there weren't so many outrageous governmental regulations, required licenses, mandatory union wages, high taxes, money being printed without the backing of gold, governmental waste, and the list can go ad nauseum.

Maybe I belong in the Blue State afterall because I'm certainly blue over what I see happening in America and there are days I see red and it is during those times I hope the bluebird of happiness leaves its calling cards on the heads of those who are trying to destroy our red, white and blue Republic. God save America.
