The Reality of the Name of Jesus

To be able to fully understand the power of the Word of God we also have to understand the power in the Name of Jesus. As long as we live according to our five physical senses we will never come to the full understanding of the power that is in the Name of Jesus. Jesus has the Name above all names: Philippians 2:9 "Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:

(10) That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

(11) And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. " That Name will bring you victory in everything that the devil throws at you. That Name is stronger than any deception that he devil has. God tells us that His name has power and God does not lie. Jesus did say in John 14:14 that whatever we ask the Father in His Name, He will do it. There is a denomination that actually prays to the saints of old and to passed loved ones. That is the deception of the devil that he has used on the church. Nowhere in scripture does it ever say to pray to anyone but God. Dead people can't answer prayer. And now when a prayer is given in at a public meeting, we are no longer allowed to use the Name of Jesus because it 'offends' some people. But we have been instructed that our prayers are to be to God the Father in Jesus' Name. Without that Name, the prayers are not effective. Jesus told us in Luke 10:19 "Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you." That power is the Name of Jesus. Remember the story of when Jesus sent out the 70 disciples and when they returned the told the stories of how even devils were subject to them through the Name of Jesus? Luke 10:17 "And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name." This is what we are to walk in! We are to be in control not the devils system. we are to bring the kingdom of God to earth not let satan's system rule.

The Reality of Having the God Kind of Faith Residing In You

Many people think that God increases our faith but we are the ones that so that. Faith is like a muscle and when you exercise a muscle it gets stronger. That is why scripture tells us to live by faith. Most of the body of Christ live by their physical senses. They depend on the bank and not God. Did you know that the Bible never tells us to save up to buy a house? Food for thought. They will depend on the doctor instead of God. God is usually the last resort. Jerry Seville tells a story of one of the meetings he was in he was talking about how we should seek God for answers someone said "Has it come to that?" God has given us all that we need to overcome the world: 1John 5:1 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him. .
(4) For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

(5) Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?" As we were growing up we were taught that we just had to deal with what live throws at us, but God says that we can overcome everything that come against us. God allows us to grow in Him and He will not allow things to come against us that are too much for us to take. I realize that there are some things that are very hard to work through, the death of a loved one, financial lost and other things but God is faithful and has already put in us what we need to get through whatever the situation: 1 Corinthians 10:13 "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it."

There are many aspects to being established in the Word and it does not just fall in your lap. We have to work at it daily. You don't learn your vocation overnight and you won't learn to be established overnight either. As we exercise our faith it will get stronger, but we have to exercise it. We have to be able to hear the Voice of God. Just like you can recognize the voice of a family member in a crowd without seeing them, you have to learn to hear the Voice of God too. There are many things talking to you as you go through life. Most of them you can see, but God is not visible to the naked eye so we have to be able to know when it is Him that is speaking. Most of the time He'll tell you to do something that in the natural seems to be the wrong thing of impossible. That's when you know it's God because He will have to make it happen, you just have to trust Him and walk by faith.

When we look at all of the great men and women of the Bible they all did one thing, believed what God had declared. Some had to be convinced like Moses and Gideon but others like David, Solomon and Paul simply believed and acted and when they did, God backed up His Word.
