THE NEW FREEDOM: OLD ORWELLIAN DOUBLETHINK

By Mary Louise

NewsWithViews.com

Beware! Behind the Bushonian slogan, "The New Freedom", is a very scary agenda, that exemplifies Orwellian doublethink and should rightfully be called "The New Slavery" instead, as it goes well beyond mandatory mental health screening and disguises the implementation of full-blown tyranny. Though the New Freedom Initiative claims to help persons with disabilities, it will also enable the government to single out and label as "mentally ill", anyone who does not behave and perform "normally", or adapt and conform to the "New World Order" mentality, in the "New American Century".

Those who are inclined to be of the herd mindset will accept it much quicker and easier than independently thinking individuals, who are not as easily deceived and controlled. Having had their thought processes gradually subverted through doublethink, many people cannot reason for themselves anymore. They seem perfectly content carrying on superficial and bland conversations devoid of any real substance and cannot tolerate unpleasant truthful facts raining on their parades. Being around them is like being in the movies "They Live", the "Stepford Wives", and "Invasion of the Bodysnatchers", which is why I'd rather spend time with my computer.

Oldthink is Orwellian for holding on to old ideas and patterns not consistent with current government policy, and maintaining a belief that is no longer acceptable, but previously considered normal. We do not need "new freedom", we need to hang on to the "old freedom", the one our founding fathers envisioned, documented, and fought for. There is nothing wrong with the original principles and ideals set forth in the Charters of Freedom, and nothing could possibly improve it. So why not give it the respect it deserves, as the real protector of freedom, and the standard worthy of trying to live up to. Anything else would be a cheap imitation of the real thing.

Doublethink, or reality control, involves being aware of truthfulness, while at the same time professing carefully devised lies and believing both, as our so-called leaders aptly demonstrate. Political language is designed to make lies sound truthful, and to convey the opposite of actual intentions, in order to greatly influence public opinion. Politically correct terminology is the invention of a simplified new vocabulary that masks, distorts, and alters the true meanings of traditional definitions. It limits the range of ideas and emotions that are allowed to be expressed, and causes unnecessary confusion and conflict that restricts understanding, which makes it difficult to communicate rationally and effectively. Control of language and information is necessary to condition citizens to love their oppressors, appreciate censorship, and tolerate brutality. Freedom is slavery, war is peace, and ignorance is strength.

As George Washington said, "In proportion as the structure of a government gives force to public opinion, it is essential that public opinion should be enlightened."

In the words of George Orwell..."Doublethink means the power of holding two contradictory beliefs in one's mind simultaneously, and accepting both of them." "1984" is his most famous work, in which a surveillant State enforces conformity through constant indoctrination, fear, lies, and punishment. It was out of the chaos of wars that the Party seized control. This novel introduced the concept of Big Brother and Newspeak, the fictional language that is supposed to eclipse Oldspeak (the existing English language), by the year 2050. The notion was to remove politically incorrect ideas in a vocabulary of dichotomies, euphemisms, and abbreviations. By doing so, making nonconformist thoughts a crime and free speech impossible, in a dreary Totalitarian State, where people cannot resist tyranny, and will surrender liberty for security. Not actually used in the book, "doublespeak" is related to "doubletalk" and the apparent combination of doublethink and newspeak.

According to Orwell, "Thoughtcrime is the essential crime that contains all others in itself." The Orwellian concept of crimethink means to doubt the principles of Ingsoc, or even consider any thought that questions official state policy. Ingsoc, or English Socialism, is basically a modern political system of Oligarchical Collectivism, that reflects Stalinism with Machiavellian overtones. "Hate Crime" legislation fits right in with the Orwellian scenario, as the thought police patrol our neighborhoods.

Totalitarianism is any political system that is an extreme form of a dictatorship, in which citizens are totally subject to the governing authority. The Party knows they are playing tricks with reality, but convince themselves that reality is not being violated, to avoid consciousness of guilt. That is doublethink; to be conscious of something, but also unconscious of it, to tell a deliberate lie but believe it as truth, and to forget inconvenient facts but remember them when needed. Its to deny the existence of an objective reality, while taking into account the very thing being denied.

Orwellian logic is evident in the names given to acts, programs, and initiatives such as the New Freedom Initiative, Patriot Act, Homeland Security, etc. The USA Patriot Act is very misleading, and does not even remotely resemble true patriotism. It is merely an acronym, formed from the initial letters of the contrived words "Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism". Just the name of the bill made it politically disastrous to vote against it and Congress didn't even read or debate it, before hastily passing it shortly after September 11th, 2001. This troubling and insulting act, which should be called the "USA Power Grab Act", also places false guilt and degrading labels on anyone who does not agree with it. It is intended to stifle opposition, create confusion, and cultivate conflict among Americans.

Strangely, the Patriot Act will not prevent future terrorism, but under the pretense of protecting us, has frighteningly increased the power of government over us. This draconian legislation is a foe of real freedom and should be repealed with expediency, not expanded into a bigger threat to our liberty. It is treachery at the highest levels from within that should worry all freedom-loving people, and cause a tidal wave of indignant resistance. If anything qualifies as a red alert, this is it! Giving up our God-given Constitutional rights will not make us safe or free! Hats off to Judge Marrero, a federal judge in Manhattan, who struck down a provision in the USA Patriot Act that enables federal authorities to force internet providers to turn over personal information about subscribers and their online activities. He ruled that it violates the First Amendment protections against prior restraint on speech, and Fourth Amendment protections against unreasonable searches and seizures. Marrero pointed out that the latitude this provision gives the government to conduct unchecked searches have "no place in an open society" and "sometimes a right, once extinguished, may be gone for good" ('Reining in the Patriot Act', Herald Tribune 10/3/04).

In response to the ruling, John Ashcroft told the Associated Press that the Justice Department would appeal, and remarked, "We believe the act to be completely consistent with the U.S. Constitution". This disingenuous statement by Ashcroft is typical Orwellian doublethink and should be interpreted as meaning "inconsistent".

Getting back to the New Freedom Initiative, which was established in February 2001. Executive Order 13217 called upon the federal government to assist states and localities to swiftly implement the United States Supreme Court decision in Olmstead v. L.C.

Big Brother Bush then established the New Freedom Commission on Mental Health in April 2002, and directed the Commission to identify policies that could be implemented by Federal, State, and local governments to maximize the utility of existing resources, improve coordination of treatments and services, and promote community integration for adults with a serious mental illness and children with a serious emotional disturbance.

The Federal agencies that currently oversee mental health policies, funding, laws, and programs include: the Departments of Housing and Urban Development, Justice, Education, and Labor, and the Administrations of Health Resources and Services, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services, National Institutes of Health, Health Care Financing, Social Security, and the Office of Personnel Management.

World Net Daily reported that the New Freedom Initiative recommends screening not only for children but eventually for every American. Referred to as the "New Intrusion Commission" by some, the President's New Freedom Commission on mental health policy and its recommendations are an assault on family privacy and authority. This commission wants to vigorously pursue the labeling and drugging of children, by screening all children and adults in the public schools for signs of possible "mental illness." This means an expansion of the psychiatric pharmaceutical market, which is a serious threat to the health of children. Many children are already on dangerous psychotropic drugs for alleged "mental illnesses", while pressure and intimidation by school and Child Welfare personnel is put on parents who do not want to label and drug their children.

Alex Jones has discussed this important topic at length, and the interviews mentioned below can be conveniently found in the Audio Archives on Prison Planet.tv. One of his many great guests, Dr. John Breeding, has shared a lot of valuable information on his website, including the following:

In regard to the doctrines in U.S.Law of "Informed Consent" and "Right to Privacy", our nation's courts have explained that, "true consent to what happens to one's self is the informed exercise of choice, and that entails an opportunity to evaluate knowledgeably the options available and the risks attendant upon each." In the case of our children, this must be interpreted to mean that parents have a legal right to sufficient information necessary to make a fully informed choice on behalf of their children. Any mandatory mental health screening is a gross violation.

The right to privacy is a fundamental American value and mandatory mental health screening is a direct violation of a liberty interest under Fourteenth Amendment due process rights. The right of parents to refuse psychological or psychiatric evaluation of their children in the schools has been repeatedly made clear. Section 1232h of Title 20, Chapter 31 of the Education Code explicitly states, "No student shall be required, as part of any applicable program, to submit to a survey, analysis, or evaluation that reveals information concerning (1) political affiliations; (2) mental and psychological problems potentially embarrassing to the student or his family; (3) sex behavior and attitudes; (4) illegal, anti-social, self-incriminating and demeaning behavior.

The Commission report is based on the same pseudo-science that has resulted in the psychiatric drugging of an estimated 9 million school-age children. The two most important scientific objections are:

There is no objective test, no confirmatory physical or chemical abnormality-for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, or any of the other childhood diagnoses popular among psychiatrists. These diagnoses are wholly subjective, based on judgments of what is and isn't normal behavior.

Psychiatric drugs are toxic and potentially lethal. There is a great deal of legal action against drug companies and practitioners regarding the harmful and sometimes deadly effects, that these drugs have had on our children and young adults. The number of legal cases are continuing to skyrocket and he National Institute of Health is also under Congressional investigation for conflict of interest and withholding potentially damaging outcomes of drug trials from the public. The New York Attorney General has filed a lawsuit against Glaxo-Smith-Kline (makers of Paxil) and other companies, for suppression of information relating to adverse side effects of their antidepressants. All of these intentionally clandestine activities place our children's' lives, health, and well being at great risk.

Alex has also interviewed Rep. Ron Paul, a staunch Constitutionalist, who wisely opposes bureaucratic growth and the inherent dangers it entails. He views families as the last line of defense against an overreaching bureaucratic state, as mentioned in his article, 'The Therapeutic Nanny State', in which he also states, "Soviet communists attempted to paint all opposition to the state as mental illness." He goes on to say that it's not hard to imagine years from now when government psychiatrists stigmatize children whose religious, social, or political values do not comport with those of a politically correct, secular state.

Rep. Ron Paul and others tried their best to stop this absurd federal program from running roughshod over the people of this nation, although their gallant attempts failed. Rep. Paul said that Congress had a rare opportunity to stop a bad idea in its tracks before it became entrenched and nearly impossible to eliminate. The amendment he offered would have removed a new mandatory mental-health screening program from the Labor, HHS, and Education Appropriations Act for Fiscal Year 2005. Ninety-four Republicans and one Democrat sided with Paul, while 118 Republicans, 196 Democrats, and one Independent voted against the amendment.

Another guest that has been on Alex's program, Dr. Dennis Cuddy, has written a series of articles entitled 'Mental Health, Education, and Social Control'. The following two paragraphs are only a few things that he is alerting us to:

UNESCO (which the U.S. recently rejoined) has had a philosophy of moral relativism regarding human life. In UNESCO: ITS PURPOSE AND ITS PHILOSOPHY (1948), one reads: "Even though it is quite true that any radical eugenic policy will be for many years politically and psychologically impossible, it will be important for UNESCO to see that the eugenic problem is examined with the greatest care, and that the public mind is informed of the issues at stake so that much that is now unthinkable may at least become thinkable." The "impossibility" of radical thinking about population control "for many years" came to an end in the late sixties, when the medical director of Planned Parenthood, Dr. Richard L. Day, delivered a speech to the Pittsburgh Pediatric Society on March 20, 1969, as witnessed and recounted by Dr. Lawrence Dunegan:

Dr. Day announced that, "Everything is in place, and nobody can stop us now....This time we're going to do it right". The following are some of the things that were planned: ...hard-to-cure diseases would be created; cures for nearly all cancers had been developed, but were being hidden so that the population wouldn't increase; a hard-to-detect means had been developed of inducing heart attacks (assassinations); drug addiction would be promoted (including at school) so the unfit would die; euthanasia would be more accepted as the cost of medical care would intentionally be made burdensomely high; divorce would be made easier; I.D. badges would become more prevalent (eventually implanted under skin, and perhaps a transmitter in dental fillings); all salary payments and purchases would be conducted electronically by computer in one banking system; major world religions (especially Christianity) would have to change into a New World Religion, and the churches will help bring it about; more airplanes and rail accidents, as well as building and bridge collapses, would occur to create an atmosphere of instability; terrorism would be used to make people demand international controls; and economic interdependence would help lessen national sovereignty, as people would become citizens of the world.

Here in the Land of Orwell, excuse me, the "Land of the Free", our most fundamental Constitutionally protected rights are being taken completely away. Everyone has opinions, it's part of who we are, but we are no longer allowed to openly express them, especially in important matters that impact our lives. Talk about un-American! Unlimited government power will inevitably result in the hopeless despair of humanity, who will be denied freedom to think freely. If this imposed reality control is allowed to continue, it will be the end of the Constitutional Republic of America.

Wars are based on deception, and insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, while expecting different results. Like the song "Where have all the flowers gone" laments... When will we ever learn, when will we ever learn?

The ongoing "war on terror" has not, nor will it ever, make the world a safer place. Why not? Because of increased hostilities resulting from the carnage done and the "terror tactics" used against poor, desperate, and grief-stricken people who are dragged and pushed into a quagmire, or an early grave! How much more killing and bloodshed must there be to atone for the 3,000 deaths on Sept. 11th? When will it ever end? Murder and mayhem only begets more murder and mayhem, regardless of the reasons for justifying it. It certainly doesn't beget peace and safety, or build strong alliances, nor does it win the hearts and minds of those we are claiming to make free. How can killing half of the population and maiming the rest generate good will? It doesn't, it's just that simple. What it does is put our troops in the middle of terrifying chaos, so that the U.S. can be in a strategic position in the Middle East prior to the next World War.

Americans are being used as the target and an excuse to invade other countries. When the targets of our enemies are the foreign policies of the power-hungry NWO leadership that has been wreaking havoc throughout the world for a long time. We are being implicated in horrid policies based on deadly deception, terrible decisions, and ulterior motives with far-reaching ramifications. Millions of Americans were and still are vehemently opposed to militarism and surrendering our rights to a corrupt government in the name of fighting government sponsored terrorism. Most people are also against illegal immigration, but the Mexican border is open for government trained terrorists to blend in with the silent invasion.

Contrary to popular belief based on repetitive propaganda, I do not believe that America is hated because of our freedom, what we stand for, or for our religious affiliations. The government and their media lapdogs keep saying that this is the reason America was attacked, in spite of the numerous crimes, cover-ups, smoking guns, and scandals that have surfaced since then. No-one asked us if we should rush into war with Iraq or Afghanistan, and voices of protest were/are ridiculed and silenced. The warmongering Straussian neo-con crowd pushed for it, on the basis of outrageous lies and hoaxes. It reminds me of the Big Con that Robert Redford and Paul Newman pulled off in "The Sting", in that the neo-cons plan of aggression was/is nothing but a super con-job that our spineless so-called representatives in Congress felt compelled to obey and follow.

Bush's famous declaration, "You're either with us, or you're with the terrorists", leaves no room for differing viewpoints and open discussion or legitimate grievances. Meanwhile, unelected administrative officials and various think-tank members brainstorm continually around elegant conference tables, mostly making decisions and policies that affect everyone else. It has basically become government by proxy, except without written authorization from the people they pretend to represent.

The first presidential debate was a carefully staged Illuminati NWO production starring political "Goodfellas", Bonesman Bush and Bonesman Kerry. Of course, their debate didn't come close to answering the questions and addressing the issues that people are really concerned about. In fact, we have to figure out what they really mean, by reading between their lines of propaganda. What do you suppose Bonesman Bush meant when he said, "...That's kind of a pre-September 10th mentality, the hope that somehow resolutions and failed inspections would make the world a safer place." Is it my imagination, or could it be a Freudian slip indicating prior knowledge of September 11th?

It is interesting to note, that the symbol of the Skull and Bones Brotherhood of Death is the same one that European and American pirates used to fly on the high seas, to put fear and dread in the crew of a target ship to be captured. It is also used as a warning for poison, that could lead to death if not heeded. Gee, maybe we should heed the warning.

It was mentioned in a previous article, 'Global Governance for a New Global Union', that in a speech to the Council of the Americas (May 2002), Dick Cheney said of the FTAA, that everything is on schedule for completion by January 2005. The "Free Trade Area of the Americas" is scheduled to become the "American Union" and the "New World Order" will become the "New Global Union". As a result of this happening, the Constitution and Bill of Rights could be suspended and martial law declared.

Traitors to the truth have subverted nations through their propaganda and it is up to each individual to do some real soul-searching and researching before forming opinionated conclusions, and break the stranglehold that it not only has upon our lives, but the whole world. There is always two sides to a story and if we don't care about others, why should anyone care about us? What it boils down to is who do we believe enough to put our faith and trust in... God, or sinful, mortal man? When all is said and done, the truth will still be the truth, in spite of efforts to rewrite history and erase knowledge from our memory. Truth is more powerful than lies and its the weapon that sets us free, which is why Big Brother hates and fears it so much, and why it must be controlled.

Remember the words of Thomas Jefferson, "In questions of power then, let no more be heard of confidence in man, but bind him down from mischief by the chains of the Constitution." If we apathetically ignore the high calling to save America from being turned into a Totalitarian State, and if we relinquish our rights in exchange for tyranny posing as security, our precious freedom will vanish into oblivion. America will be forever "Gone With the Wind" and replaced by a counterfeit and cruel system. Is this what we want to see happen? No, no, no, a thousand times no!

We will either overcome by the courage of our convictions and help from heaven, or we will succumb to tyranny in the name of new freedom. It's time we confront our fears and make up our minds what side we are on. It has to be one or the other, so what's it gonna be people? Freedom or slavery, peace or war, strength or ignorance... We can't have it both ways.
