BROADCAST OF CONGRESSWOMAN'S BRIEFING ON 9-11
By: Devvy August 24, 2005 NewsWithViews.com On July 22, 2005 at the Cannon House Office Building, Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney (D-GA) held a Congressional Briefing titled The 9/11 Commission Report One Year Later: A Citizens Response - Did They Get It Right? A dear friend of mine attended this briefing and was, quite frankly, amazed by the presentation. My friend, an appellate attorney, was kind enough to give me the package distributed at this briefing. I have taken the time to scan some of the documents from that package and they are found here and here. Please be mindful that these are pdf files and load slowly for dial up users. The first pdf file gives a complete accounting of the agenda for the briefing, speakers and bios. The second pdf file contains very important information on the un-Patriot Act that every American should read. Cynthia McKinney carries a lot of baggage with her, and in the early months after 9-11, was excoriated by cable talking heads and the controlled "mainstream" media because she began asking some hard questions about the events of that horrible, awful day. McKinney didn't help herself any by making some extremely inflammatory statements not germane to 9-11. The fact that she was a congresswoman compounded the problem of how to shut her up. The easiest way was to get her "un elected," which happened in 2002; she was re elected in 2004. McKinney is also the quintessential "liberal" who has adopted the communist morality: Pro abortion, voted no on banning partial-birth abortions; recommended by EMILY's List of pro-choice women; is pro sodomy. She is a member of the Progressive Caucus; her membership in this anti-American organization is flat out wrong. It has been widely reported that "....some contributors to Ms. McKinney's previous campaigns, such as Abdurrahman Alamoudi and Sami Al-Arian, have since been indicted for ties to terrorist groups. But Ms. McKinney still enjoys broad support among radical Islamists. Donors to her 2004 campaign include Rafeeq Jaber, president of the Islamic Association for Palestine, a group that supports Hamas and calls Israel a "neo-Nazi" state; Oussama Jammal, president of the Bridgeview Mosque in Illinois, which held a fund-raiser for the defense of Sami Al-Arian, the indicted North American leader of Palestinian Islamic Jihad; and two board members of Al-Arian's Islamic Academy of Tampa, Fla., Ayman Osman and Allam Reheem....Jesse Aweida, co-founder of the American Task Force on Palestine; Hani Y. Awadallah, president of New Jersey's Arab American Civic Organization; Faroque Khan, president of the Islamic Center of Long Island; and James Zogby, president of the Arab American Institute." Apparently, Cynthia McKinney never voted for a single military appropriation during her entire congressional career. I find this beyond irresponsible. It is part of her job (See Art. 1, Section 8, clauses 11, 12, & 13) to vote to appropriate funding for our military and our veterans who were promised health care for giving up so much to fight these wars for the international banking cartel. The state of our VA hospitals and treatment for our veterans is a national shame. Many consider McKinney a "hero" for the monumental amount of time and energy she has exerted regarding 9-11. While my comments may anger some, I don't consider McKinney any kind of hero. As far as I'm concerned, McKinney is simply doing her job investigating all the inconsistencies regarding what really happened on September 11, 2001 and who was really behind the curtain calling the shots. McKinney took an oath to preserve and protect the U.S. Constitution and uphold the supreme law of the land. If crimes have been committed by public officials or there has been a cover up, then her efforts are simply part of her job as a member of Congress, nothing more, nothing less. That doesn't make her any kind of hero in this writer's humble opinion. If you're wondering why I have brought forth the information above regarding Congresswoman McKinney, I don't want anyone to get the wrong idea that I am unaware of her baggage and that I am somehow being used by the "left." I am nobody's fool and I know how the game is played. Having said all that, regardless of how you feel about 9-11, this monstrous and horrific event is the reason for the unconstitutional, undeclared war in Afghanistan and Iraq. Despite all the bluster from GOP shills on the radio and tube, we know that Mr. Bush and his pet dogs lied about weapons of mass destruction and Saddam Hussein. No question Hussein is a brutal dictator, but it is not the responsibility of our government to unconstitutionally invade any sovereign nation to oust any leader, dictator, president or prime minister. However, this is the new world order in operation: ordering of the world and scarfing up the natural resources of a country under the pretext of "wars of liberation." This is pure insanity, it is an unlawful use of our military; what's happening in Iraq is unconstitutional. It is not the job of our military to invade a country under a mountain of lies and false pretenses just because the current dictator is a monster. The world is full of monsters running countries. It is the responsibility of the indigenous population to rise up and dethrone these miserable excuses for human beings, the same as our colonials did to win our independence and freedom. George Washington is known as the Father of our Country. He was truly a remarkable man and everyone should read his 1796 Farewell Address to the Nation (here) so they can understand and appreciate his words of wisdom on getting entangled in foreign interests. The bottom line is that our constitution requires Congress make a formal declaration of war. This was not done in Afghanistan or Iraq. The invasion of Iraq was built on a mountain of lies. It is unlawful to use our military for "nation building." This invasion is all about money and I do not say that to diminish the death of any of our precious freedom fighters who have given their lives. Here is just one example; scroll down until you see this caption: U.S. Business and Bush Family Ties to Osama Bin Laden Revealed. I realize all of this is terribly painful for families of our service members. Patrick Henry said, "We are apt to close our eyes against a painful truth." Yet, we must open them, for to remain blind to the truth, is to dig the grave of this nation. Nation building by the U.S. has failed every single time and has not only made things worse in whatever country we invaded, it has also made us the enemy of the world. It is not the responsibility of our military to go door to door in any country, breaking them down in many cases and confiscating weapons from the people, leaving them without a way to defend themselves. It is not the responsibility of our military to build schools, government buildings or anything else in a foreign country - regardless of the "feel good" reason. Our military is to protect our borders, our soil and our people against an attack or invasion and they need to be here on U.S. soil to fulfill this mission, not cleaning the teeth of villagers in Guyana or teaching kids in Kosovo how to operate a computer which is happening on a daily basis. Is it any wonder the military budget is so high? There is NO authority in the U.S. Constitution (Art. 1, Sec 8) to rape the public treasury to fund "nation building," removing despots and dictators or foreign aid, regardless of which country is on the receiving end. It's all against the law of our land and has nothing to do with Bush's endless "war on terrorism," while he promotes lawlessness (amnesty of illegal aliens who are criminals because they break the law when they smuggle themselves across our borders) and his refusal to demand Congress properly fund the Border Patrol and enforce existing immigration and deportation laws. I fully realize this is an unpopular position because our troops are in harms way, not just in Afghanistan and Iraq, but in 126 countries on this globe. My position brings the usual attacks from those who have loved ones who have died for these planned wars by the international banking cartel who own the White House and Congress. I am blasted for being un-American and un-patriotic. These are the favorite methods of the unseen hand in agitating and keeping Americans pitted against each other because that is the way to conquer - by dividing the people. My husband spent 27 years of honorable service in the U.S. Army, retired as a full Colonel and served in Viet Nam. We are still Army family. This isn't about supporting the troops, because we do and pray for them and their families. It's about getting to the truth and bringing our military home where they belong. C-SPAN/2 will be broadcasting McKinney's full event on August 31, 2005 from 8:00 pm to 11:30 pm and from 8:00 pm to 1:00 am on September 2, 2005. It is broken into two parts as described here. Regardless of your political party, I encourage everyone to watch this briefing: (1) to look at what hard evidence is available; (2) the sources of such documentation and whether or not it is credible; (3) to hear what the family members who lost a loved one that day have to say in their speeches. My May 20, 2005, column for Worldnetdaily.com was on FDR's prior knowledge of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. In that column I provided a link for people to see the actual government documents which prove that FDR wanted the Japanese to strike first to drag America into WWII. I got some angry e-mail from individuals who called me a liar. Obviously, they never hit the link to see these actual government documents which a judge forced the release of under a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit. I didn't make up those documents. Their authenticity cannot be denied. Those who e-mailed are in a state of denial because they can't handle the truth: that FDR willingly sacrificed the lives of 2400+ Americans in furtherance of a new world order. This is the same situation. 9-11 is a day none of us will ever forget. I will never forget watching the news coverage from just after the first plane hit one of the World Trade Center Towers until around 11:00 pm that night and then for many days afterwards. As I work at home, I was able to watch coverage almost non stop. Yes, 9-11 is a very touchy subject, but, I urge all Americans: Don't let any president, member of Congress, talk radio or cable TV show host tell you how to think about 9-11 or any other subject. Don't let anyone tell you what you should think about 9-11 or any other subject. Watch this briefing and make up your own mind. If you have questions, don't they deserve answers? If you don't have C-SPAN/2, perhaps a friend will be taping it for personal home use and will let you borrow the video. Otherwise, once the broadcast takes place, C-SPAN will be selling the entire presentation. Should the White House put the pressure on C-SPAN/2 and this important airing of that briefing gets axed, contact McKinney's office for a video. Investigating 9-11 isn't about being anti-American, pro-terrorism, conservative, liberal, Democrat, Republican or anything in between. It's an American issue. I do not belong to or support any organization such as Moveon.org, which I believe is a communist front operation. Look behind the curtain, folks, before you jump on board some organization chanting all the hot button phrases. All Americans, especially those who lost their loved ones that day, deserve the truth. We demand the truth. 2005 Devvy Kidd - All Rights Reserved E-Mails are used strictly for
