We have Obama to thank. He finally has rid us of the Clintons.

The media is shocked that Democrats have so quickly turned against Hillary. She was the anointed one, the heir apparent, the successor to the throne. One year ago Bill was measuring curtains for his wifes office.

But Americans are sick of politics. They are filled to the gills with the venom hissing from both sides of the aisle. They are tired of scandals, tired of war, tired of gas-prices, tired of being played for a fool. They are not sure what the problems are, but they know there are problems.

They arent really motivated by health-care or tax-cuts, or by global warming. They aren't fooled they know all crimes are hate crimes. What they hate is the crime of what has happened to their country. They hate the bickering, they hate the pessimism, and they hate the strong-arm of government.

The Democrats hate G.W. Bush as much as the Republicans hate Hillary. They blame Bush for all of Americas ills. If you ask those at an Obama rally what they want, they will answer change. They dont even know what that means but they do know they dont want more of what they already have.

So, four years ago the leadership directed them to Hillary. The people didnt really like her but they hated Bush. Hillary could beat Bush. That was the goal. Beat Bush.

But then along came Obama. They liked him. They liked what he said. They were hungry for hope. Proverbs 13:12 says Hope deferred makes a heart sick. Americans were heartsick and almost out of hope.

Hillary told them how bad everything was. Obama told them how great things could be. Hillary told them they were powerless, Obama said he would empower them. Hillary offered experience. Obama offered hope.

Hope makes a heart feel good. Hope trumps experience. The heart is more powerful than the head.

But there is more to it than that. Deep inside, Americans remember the Clintons. They remember Whitewater and Monica, the Rose Law Firm and Travel-Gate. Somewhere lurking in their memories are impeachment, lying, the meaning of is and a dark blue dress. Who can forget Gennifer Flowers, Paula Jones, Roger Clinton, astro-turfed pick-up beds, and bimbo-eruptions?

Their minds flash to James Carville and Paul Begala, to last minute pardons and wagging fingers, to trailer trash and triangulation, from Vince Foster to Craig Livingstone, Janet Reno and Waco, and never to be forgotten, the little boys at Mena. They remember that the last time the Clintons were in the White House oral sex had to be explained to their eleven year-old daughters.

Yes, my friends. The Democrats remember. Like their Republican counterparts, they were willing to hold their nose and vote to beat Bush and his agenda. Hillary was never their girl, she was their nag. They knew they could ride her to victory.

But along came a man with hope. Isnt it ironic that a man who spoke about hope would dethrone the family that came from Hope?

The Democrats are not voting for Obama. They are voting for hope. I told you Hillary couldnt win.

So here is the good news. Democrats are Americans too. They are not represented by George Soros and Code Pink, by Move On and NOW. They do not walk lock-step with the Democratic leadership.

They are folks just like Republicans. They have houses and jobs, kids and cars. They hate what has happened to their country and they want what is best for their kids.

And they are tired of the Clintons.

Go away, please just go away. That is what they are really saying. We want change, we want hope. That is what Obama represents, and that is a good thing. It should encourage us all.

But sadly, the elephant-party doesnt get it. They thought it was about Hillary. The whole primary season has been about beating Hillary. McCain is the man that King-makers have determined can do it. Now they are stuck with him.

Hope and change are a powerful refrain. Obama sings that tune over and over. Like an old Beatles song America never gets tired of hearing it. Thats why he is Number 1 with a bullet. He sings All You Need is Love. The elephants trumpet War.

I dont think Obama can win in November. Ultimately American will demand he sing a different song. He will be exposed as a one-hit wonder. But, War, huh, What is it good for.absolutely nothing. It is hard to beat hope with war.

Obama would be a disaster for America but I sure am grateful for him. In six months he has done what the vast right-wing conspiracy was unable to do. He has driven the Clintons from the stage.

Get the hook you hear the Democratic stage-managers yelling. Get the Clintons out of here.

We can thank Obamas song of hope for that. The Democrats have voted Billary off of American Idol.

Lets face it folks. It is a good-day in America. The Clintons tactics are old, their ideas are old, and their faces are worn. So, as Donald Trump would say, Clintons! Youre fired.

Can the Republicans beat HOPE? I dont know. The contrast of a youthful Obamas Hope with 72 year old McCains experience seems like a replay of what we have just watched. Hope triumphs over experience.

Dont be so short-sighted, though. It is about more than this election. We will never again face the prospects of a return of the Clintons to the White House. Even those who voted for them realized the damage they did to Americas soul. Democrats too, want America back.

Some say Obama is an empty suit. That may be true. But one thing is clear. The rank and file Democrats would rather run with an empty suit than a candidate whose pockets were stuffed with other peoples money. Obama concerns me; His socialist views are yet to be exposed. But I am encouraged today. Bill and Hillary are riding into the sunset.

The Clintons will soon be gone. Things already seem better in America.
