Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. ~1st Amendment to the US Constitution

Look for the period. In our English language a period is very significant. It marks the end of a thought. Go back and look for the period. The entire 1st Amendment is one compound sentence; it is not a collection of un-related thoughts.

There area at least three very clear, declarative statements in the 1st Amendment, each one referring to what Congress cannot do. In a nutshell, Congress cant:

  • Make any laws placing any regulation or restrictions on religion. Notice: Neither church nor state is mentioned anywhere in the amendment.
  • Make any laws restricting freedom of speech or the press.
  • Make any laws prohibiting any type of peaceable assembly or appeal to our leaders.

Have you noticed that the only one of those rights listed above that has not been tampered with is the freedom of the press? Judges are constantly restricting individuals' speech, religion expression, and places where one can protest; yet they do nothing to put restrictions on the media. Ever wonder why that is? Or, more likely, if you are like most Americans you never really thought about it. Well..it is time to think about it.

All media is biased and they are out to control us. You hear complaints all of the time about big business, and big oil, but never hear a peep about big media. Big media is destroying America and it has become the educational arm of big government. If it weren't for the constant barrage of the talking heads yodeling about racism, global warming, hate-crimes, health-care, and separation of church and state, most Americans would have no idea those problems even exist. As the media highlights, and in some cases, creates a crisis, more government is required to fix it. Once the problem is indoctrinated into the minds of the people that same media will make sure you know who the best people are to deal with the crisis and it is usually some bought-and-paid-for political hack. This is what some call the government-media complex.

By the way, presidential candidates will spend nearly ONE BILLION $ on campaigns this year. I wonder if any of that money will end up in the networks coffers. If the networks keep politics on the front page they make money. Who do you suppose is buying all of those ads?

Please understand, the last thing I want is more government regulation of anything, but we cant sit silently as they cast the chains around our neck by removing any means we have of speaking against tyranny. Our free press is destroying individual freedom. Think this through with me.

If it is possible for the courts to reach into the middle of the 1st Amendment and pull out one of the Congress shall nots, why is it not possible to do it with the other parts of the statement? If they can pull out the reference to religion and deal with it separately, why cant we do the same with the freedom of the press? If the courts can control free speech why cant it control free press? The media is controlling our politics.

The latest polls are not news, they are tools. They are the rails that they use to herd the sheep the direction they choose. Right now the McCain rail sure is hot.even though we have only had a handful of people vote the polls tell us he is the front runner. Americans love to vote for a winner. And the winner is going to be."

Why do all Americans vote for President on the same November Day, but the primaries are spread out over a couple of months? Would the media be able to control things if all primaries were held on the same day? They use the polls to create news after every primary in order to steer the flock to the establishment-approved candidate.

If Congress can pass McCain-Feingold, which silences individual speech; if the 501 (c)(3) which silences the voice of the Church is Constitutional; if the use of the RICO Act to silence the free-speech of those who oppose child-killing is Constitutional; if Hate Crimes legislation which silences those who oppose homosexuality is Constitutional; if a private letter from Thomas Jefferson to a church being used to throw all mention of God out of public discourse is Constitutional, then cant someone please find a way to get the press out of our elections?

I think we need the separation between the PRESS and the state? (That sound you hear is the howling of the media-wolves who are devouring America. CNN is already working on a report on the danger of censorship) How dare you mention such a treasonous thing, Coach! It is the press that has kept America free!

Really? A free-press may keep America free but a controlled press is enslaving us in government programs. Do we have a free-press in America today? I say it is time for McCain-Feingold restrictions on the media. Lets get them out of politics. Lets make the reporting of all polls illegal.

Why would any media call itself Fair and Balanced? Doesnt that insinuate that most of the media is not fair and balanced? They claim that They Report, You Decide" but we know the opposite is true. They Decide what is important and then You Report it to your friends!

Think Im wrong? Why is it they say a victory in Florida gives momentum to McCain? Who created the appearance of momentum? Who convinced us what happens in Iowa is important to New Hampshire? Who created these front-runners in the first place? A year ago they tried to force Rudy down our throats, but thank God that most Americans' gag-reflex still works. So, slowly, they move us on to another Washington insider.

Without the media both Obama and Hillary wouldnt stand a chance of being president. They tell us we need a black president or a woman president to show we have progressed. Both of them are media created, media propelled candidates. (I wonder if Katie Couric votes Republican?) As the dust settles in Florida it appears the former front-runner Rudy, is gone, Huckabee is fading, but the media still wont give fair and balanced coverage to the Ron Paul movement. Why is that? They loved Ross Perot.

A new AIDS is spreading across the world. (By the way, AIDS was originally called GRIDS). The media shows us the good side of the gay issue, but fails to talk about the rapidly spreading MRSA epidemic in the homosexual community. How about fair and balanced?

The media spouts endlessly about a womans right to choose yet fails to cover the story of the 72-year old grandmother sentenced to 30 days in jail for defending the babys right to choose. How about fair and balanced?

They pump the need to raise money for breast cancer research but fail to inform women that an abortion greatly increases her chance of getting breast cancer in the first place. How about fair and balanced?

The media touts the need for raising taxes but never mentions the former IRS agents who are speaking out against the IRS. How about fair and balanced?

The media portrays Rick Warren as Americas Pastor. They tell us Joel Osteen is nice. Softly they direct us towards the more tolerant brand of Christianity while they fail to expose what is going on in Americas mosques. How about fair and balanced?

They tell us that America is racist while my TV screen is filled with millionaire black athletes and performers who are raking in truckloads of white dollars from those racist crackers. How about fair and balanced?

Why is the media permitted free speech rights but pastors, Christians, and Grandmas arent? Who selects the stories? Who edits (censures) them? Who determines what is newsworthy? Who is directing your vote?

Hannity, OReilly, Beck, and Limbaugh are everywhere. How can that be? Maybe they are the professors of the government-media university? Now the pundits are claiming talk radio is dead, but they are wrong. We listened to those voices for the past 8 years as the carried water for Republicrats. We share their values but dont trust what they say.

Ive got a radio show. I say Republicans are Counterfeit Salt, and that most Christians are Good for Nothing, so dont expect to hear me on Clear Channel anytime soon. The last thing they and their buddies behind the curtain want is an informed America.

Thank God for the Internet. At least we have a window of time to spread the Truth. But we better hurry because you can bet the big boys will soon demand government regulation of the Net as well. They cant afford the competition that a truly free press provides.

Fair and Balanced, my butt. Its their credibility, Stupid.
