ARE THERE ANY CHRISTIANS LEFT?
PART 1

Not long ago at the beginning of one of my NewsWithViews columns, I mentioned a desperate need my mother had and still has. Outside of those who already knew us, there were only 2 responses.

In Matthew 25:44-46 Jesus says if you do not help someone in need, it is as if you did not help Him, and therefore you will "go away into everlasting punishment." If you go to YouTube and type in the search box "government abuse of poor elderly woman", you will see my 91-year-old mother just before she was discharged from Rex hospital (which has a large statue of Jesus at the front) to a rehab facility in an almost comatose state.

At the rehab, she was not secured in her bed, fell out, and now has fractured ribs. Because of a Veterans Administration mistake, her monthly widow's pension for food, etc. is now only $32. And at about the same time, the landlord has informed us she has to be out of her apartment/condominium by September 1 because it is being sold unless we can find a buyer who will let her continue to live there and pay rent.

There are about 2.2 billion people on Earth who call themselves Christian, but in THE HOLY BIBLE in 4 places it says only a "few" will be chosen or "saved." That means hundreds of millions of church-going people who think they are going to heaven will actually be going to hell forever! What has happened to all the Christians?

Some years ago a church pastor picked up from a table a book I had written and just walked off with it. More recently, a Midwestern pastor produced a manual with a great deal of my education chronology and my booklet on Bill Clinton in it. He asked permission saying he would only print 10,000 just for pastors, but he actually printed 25,000. When I asked people to buy my books, they said they already had this manual and did not need to buy my books. This cost me and the publisher (Florida Pro-Family Forum) $300,000, and the pastor has not reimbursed us anything for our loss!

Concerning my mother's current situation, I have asked local pastors for help, but only one responded. I have asked for help from nationally famous pastors like Joel Osteen and others, but there has been no response. I have also asked the media, local and national (The Meredith Vieira Show), but there has been no response. I have even asked nationally prominent conservative organization leaders, but they gave no help.

The most pressing need concerns the August 31 lease expiration date. The situation is as follows. With fractured ribs, my mother is in no position to pack and move anywhere, so a buyer for the apartment/condominium in which she lives must be found NOW! The condos generally sell for $175-$190,000, but the owner is selling it cheap at $160,000 and will probably take $150,000 to avoid renovations. The bank says all that is needed is a 20% downpayment, because then the monthly payment on the loan/mortgage is only $750, which is easily covered by the rent check. I have even offered to pay the first year's rent in advance, which reduces the out-of-pocket payment for the condo to under $20,000 !

This is a great deal for a condo which could become worth almost $200,000. The fact that the buyer might live far away isn't an issue, because the realtor is national and the local property manager takes care of any tenant's needs.

But more important than my mother's crisis is what's going to happen to the souls of those not helping her. From Jesus' statement in Matthew 25:45-46, it is as though Jesus has been saying to all those asked to help my mother, "Look at Me (Jesus) with My fractured ribs, having been almost comatose and with a hematoma, with only $32 from the VA to buy food, etc. Will you help Me (Jesus)? And nearly all of the people reading NewsWithViews, and nearly all of those contacted by phone or email, have said, "No Jesus, I am not going to help You."

What do you think Christ's response to these people will be on judgment day as they stand before Him? And how will they feel as He repeats what He said in Matthew 25:46 "And these shall go away into everlasting punishment"?

If it was a scandal about a year ago that some veterans had to wait 6 months to see a doctor, at least they had 6 months to live. Try living just one month on $32.

THE HOLY BIBLE says we should and should not do many things, but in a few places, Jesus says there are certain things we MUST do to be saved. Matthew 25:44-46 is one of those places, and our eternal souls are at stake! A lot of people say they are Christians, but when it comes to actually doing what Christ commands, they spend a lot of effort rationalizing why they can do NOTHING or how others (but not themselves) should do something. This causes me to wonder what happened to all the Christians who used to do as Jesus commanded, knowing what the consequences would be for their failure to act as they stand before the judgment seat of God?
