GRANTS PASS , OREGON. There is big news from the Donald Trump Campaign in the State of Oregon! The Trump campaign believes that Oregon will be a key to surpassing the 1237 delegates required to avoid a contested convention and assure his nomination as the Republican Candidate in the General Election in November 2016. Oregon has 28 total delegates available—25 of which are divided proportionately to the winner of each congressional district. The final three delegates are also bound to vote for the winner of the statewide election.

Currently, Mr. Trump has established campaign offices in Eugene, two separate Portland locations and a Grants Pass location will open Tuesday, April 26, 2016. Enthusiasm has been very high from voters across Oregon and the campaign is expected to carry the state taking a majority of the available delegates. If you would like to get involved in the campaign, please call the campaign’s Political Director, Christopher Gergen at 541-870-3000 or email him at cgergen@donaldtrump.com.

The campaign is actively recruiting volunteers to make phone calls through their web based system, join the walk-and-talk effort, put out signs or help to staff one of their four statewide offices. If you’d like to pick up bumper stickers, lapel stickers, signs shirts and other Trump campaign material you may do so at one of their statewide offices. You can also connect with the official Trump campaign in Oregon by visiting their Facebook page—Oregon for Trump. Also wisit Trump's Twitter page., Trmp's national Website.

Recent polls in California show Mr. Trump is leading amongst registered Republicans throughout the state—especially in Southern California. Trump’s strongest region is the Inland Empire of Southern California, where he hits 49 percent support according to a recent Politico article. Unfortunately, there are no polls available for Oregon, however the general feel from the thousands of phone calls being made each day is that Oregonians are ready for Trump.

According to a volunteer at the Watch Party held on April 19, 2016, many Democrats and Independent voters are re-registering as Republicans so they can support Trump as their nominee in July’s election. On April 20, 2016 the local NBC affiliate in Eugene filmed a feature spot highlighting the campaign office in Eugene. According to the report, volunteers throughout the state are making thousands of phone calls each day and will continue to do so until the day of the primary.

Ted Cruz has a loose confederation of supporters throughout the state, however no campaign offices have been established anywhere in the state.

Are you not able to vote in the Republican primary, but want to vote for Donald Trump? You still have time to change your registration to Republican before the Tuesday, April 26, 2016 deadline for registration. To register as a Republican, visit your local elections office, library, Republican Party headquarters or Donald Trump for President Campaign office to pick up your voter registration. If you love and believe in Mr. Trump's mission to Make America Great Again and you happen to be registered as an Independent, please re-register as an Republican (on or before Tuesday 4-26-16) vote for Trump in this primary, then after the primery is over re-register as an Independent again.
