Sheriffs Need to Take The Lead

Well I woke up this mornin, looked outdoors I can tell my milk cow, I can tell by the way she lows If you see my milk cow, please drive her on home cause I aint had no milk and butter since that cows been gone --Mark Knoffler Milk Cow Blues

If I were to tell you that over the course of the last sixty years there were 233,034 serious cases of bacterially caused diseases and nine deaths attributed to the consumption of certified safe pasteurized milk, would you believe it? Well, you had better because that is a verifiable truth. I imagine this will wipe that milk mustache off of the face of more than a few.

Now, if I were to tell you that there were only 450 verifiable cases of bacterial contamination of raw milk and no deaths from its consumption during that same period of time, would you believe that? I hope so because that is also true. And did you know that raw milk is intrinsically and naturally possessed of properties that destroy disease-causing microorganisms, and that pasteurization destroys these naturally occurring substances and also renders the milk useless in regard to food value? In other words raw milk is good for you and pasteurized/homogenized milk definitely is not. Maybe that information will put the milk mustaches back on, but not if the bureaucratic storm troopers have their way about it.

Daily, I receive emails from desperate people who are being besieged by idiotic bureaucrats who endeavor to regulate, control, and limit their God-given freedoms. Blundering agents of our out of control government dictate what they can and cannot do, what they can and cannot consume, and what they can and cannot produce. Always the motives of these tyrannic dictators are disguised as being altruistic and for the good of those who are subjected to their unwelcome and unasked for intrusions, but that lie is more often than not exposed when one investigates the facts behind their persecutions. God gave man certain inalienable rights; the government mocks Gods wisdom by suppressing those rights with unequivocally detestable and heavy-handed regularity. Following is another story in the continuing saga of a run-a-way despotic government, and its incursions upon the rights and freedoms of U.S. citizens.

People of wisdom have come to the inescapable conclusion that the pandemic illnesses and diseases that we are witnessing today are of a relatively recent vintage. They have also concluded that contemporary medicine and the pharmaceutical industry have failed miserably to attenuate the health problems, which afflict us. As a matter of fact they have added to the problem exponentially.

I have the highest regard for the medical advances in the detection of disease. Diagnostic abilities are often times incredible, and the surgical skills of U.S. physicians are renown. The problem here is that the pharmaceutical companies have been as effective in subverting the doctors as they have been in fooling the public. The bottom line with the pharmaceutical industry is profits. Obscene profits. If they are to continue to rake in these profits it is imperative that they maintain a mutually beneficial relationship with the medical doctors who, alone, have the authority to prescribe their toxic chemical concoctions. With in excess of $600 billion dollars in annual revenues they are more than well-equipped to purchase the loyalty of the medical profession and to buy political affirmation for their greedy agenda.

A co-conspirator with the pharmaceuticals in this enlistment of governmental protection and support is the food industry. In recent years the food industry has experimented upon consumers in regard to the processing of the foods, which they consume. This tampering with the natural state of our food has coincided suspiciously with a rapid increase of certain diseases, particularly diseases of the heart and circulatory system and autoimmune diseases. The parallel is too apparent to be coincidental and the discerning victims of this unrighteous clique are rapidly moving away from the synthetic and unnatural to that, which is natural and God-given.

There is an increasing move to alternative medicine and nutritional therapy. A whole new industry has grown up around this trend. The health benefits have been tremendously positive and encouraging. In fact they have been so thrilling in affect that it has attracted the negative attention of the aforementioned pharmaceutical and food industries. They have correctly reasoned that a continued success of such alternatives will most certainly cut seriously into their profits. As previously stated they have bought and paid for the loyalty of the medical profession and the affirmation and backing of the politicians, a very effective combination indeed for the assassination of the fledgling natural health industry.

Enter the FDA, the USSDA, and their state and local contemporaries, the storm troopers of a despotic government and the desecrators of the freedoms and liberties of a free people.

A reader recently brought to my attention the machinations of the bureaucratic storm troopers of the State of Ohio in a persecution of an Ohio farm couple, Carol and Paul Schmitmeyer. The couple provides healthy raw milk to health conscious patrons via a licensed herd share program. Essentially the program works as follows:

The consumer purchases a share in a milk cow or dairy herd. The farmer and the consumer enter into a contract whereby the farmer feeds and boards the cow, and provides the labor to milk the cow and store the consumers milk. Such contracts are legal and valid, as guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States of America. The consumer does not buy milk from the farmer. Rather, he pays the farmer for the service of keeping the cow and his labor for milking the cow and processing the milk into butter, cream, cheese, etc. Herd share programs protect the farmer from liability since the cow belongs to the consumer, and the consumer is drinking milk, which comes from healthy grass-fed cows. The program has been a Godsend for small farmers, and for health conscious people who are unable to access healthy foods in their grocery stores and super markets.

It so happened that two people in Darke County, Ohio, the county in which the Schmitmeyer farm is located, became ill with an intestinal infection. Storm troopers from the Ohio Department of agriculture investigated and found that the only common link between the two, that they could ascertain, was that both had consumed milk from the Schmitmeyer farm. No other herd share customers became ill from the consumption of milk from the farm, and the herd and equipment were checked and found to be free of disease causing organisms. The only conclusion that could have been reached was that the two had contacted their infection from another source. This should have ended the story, but since the real motive of the storm troopers is to drive natural food suppliers out of competition with the entrenched food industry the story did not end on such a note of saneness.

The Department of Agriculture arbitrarily revoked the license, which enabled the Schmitmeyers dairy operation, thereby shutting down their business and concomitantly depriving their many good customers of access to healthy raw milk.

This is a normal procedure for bureaucratic storm troopers, it is a win-win situation for them and a lose-lose situation for those whom they oppress and abuse. If, eventually the bureaucrats lose in the courts, they are still victorious in that often times they bankrupt their victims by forcing them into a liability for huge amounts of legal fees, which are accumulated in the fight to access some justice through the courts. Ironically, the state is using the taxes of the victims to fund their prosecutorial abuses, so in essence their victims are footing the bill for their own prosecutorial torment, while at the same time bearing the costs of their own defense.

What a retched state of being we have come to in this country. The sovereignty of the people no longer exists. It has been stolen by the corrupt, from among us, who were elected and appointed to guard our freedoms and protect our liberties. They are an affront to all that is decent and good, and a curse on the nation.
