RUSH LIMBAUGH IS WRONG

 2007 - NewsWithViews.com

I happened to catch Rush Limbaugh on the FOX Network morning show October 16, 2007. The subject of discussion was Limbaugh's claim that for the first time in modern American history, Congress has gone after a private citizen in the halls of Congress. He was speaking of the ad nauseum political games over a letter from Harry Reid and signed by a some counterfeit U.S. Senators regarding Limbaugh's "phony soldier" flap. Rush is wrong about Congress not attacking a private citizen, just as he finally admitted to being wrong about deceiving his listeners last year:

"....Rush Limbaugh, has made a fascinating admission. Responding to questions about how he felt in the wake of the Democratic Party victories, he said, "The way I feel is this: I feel liberated, and I'm going to tell you as plainly as I can why. I no longer am going to have to carry the water for people who I don't think deserve having their water carried. Now, you might say, 'Well, why have you been doing it?' Because the stakes are high! Even though the Republican Party let us down, to me they represent a far better future for my beliefs and therefore the country's than the Democrat Party and liberalism does." That was preceded by his statement that "There hasn't been ideology in the Republican Party, any conservatism, for at least two to maybe four years." Limbaugh wants you to continue rewarding failures using the same, worn out threat of the Democrats as if there is some difference in the two parties.

He's also a hypocrite about this unconstitutional invasion and occupation of Iraq:

"When Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic announced yesterday that his forces would observe a unilateral cease-fire through Sunday, Limbaugh said it offered NATO a way out. "Let's cut our losses and accept this cease-fire," Limbaugh said. He added sarcastically, "Give the President (Clinton) a Congressional Medal of Honor and let's get back home!" This invasion in which we have killed tens of thousands of innocent civilians was to remove another dictator (Hussein) "for the people" and just like Kosovo, is another massive failure. More "wars of liberation," but since this one is being screwed up by a Republican president, Rush will continue to support Bush's war no matter how wrong or immoral.

This God-awful mess in Afghanistan and Iraq isn't about supporting our soldiers which we all do, it's about continuing to support a policy of naked aggression against non-threatening countries. Americans who get all their information from one source or 15-second sound bites can't really make informed decisions and those who make theirs based on blind loyalty to a political party, talk show host or president are simply being foolish. The consequences of this type of party obedience has brought us to the brink of complete ruin. Limbaugh should spend a little less time out on the golf course and read Ron Paul's book, A Foreign Policy of Freedom: Peace, Commerce and Honest Friendship. He might learn something.

Back in 1944, personal letters of Vivien Kellems were read on the floor of Congress. A private citizen. Vivien was smeared in the most vicious attacks one can imagine and makes the Limbaugh/Reid dust up nothing more than stupid political games. Why was Vivien attacked? Because this woman had very important contracts with the U.S. government during WWII, but she was also quite outspoken on many issues. Reading Vivien's personal correspondence by members of Congress on the House floor was denounced, but she didn't flinch and kept up her crusade. In a letter to President Truman on June 16, 1948, she wrote: "On April 30th, I wrote your Secretary of Treasury, Mr. John M. Snyder, and requested he indict me for violating the withholding income tax law. In my opinion, this law is unconstitutional and I have broken it in order to bring a test case before the Supreme Court."

Vivien was a remarkable woman who went down into man holes in NY City in a fur coat to tell the workers how they were getting screwed by the government. She ended up suing the government for snatching money out of her business account and won. Her trial and FBI files are on my CD. Vivien's story is a remarkable tribute to what one person can do. You can also read a few pages from her book here; scroll down about half way to the sub heading: 'A Pioneer on the withholding issue.' It is a wonderful testament to the original intent of our Founding Fathers. This same spirit of true freedom rings from Ron Paul when he speaks.

These side show distractions by cash cows like Limbaugh and shallow Sean Hannity are nothing but a waste of time. Harry Reid is a buffoon, so no more needs to be said about him. These two gas bags make BIG bucks selling there's actually some difference between the Republican and Democrat parties...isn't there?

Rudy's Doing It!

"It's the middle of October and Rudy Giuliani is still leading the race for the Republican nomination. His old enemies in New York can't understand it. "It's totally unbelievable," said Charles Rangel, the dean of the New York Congressional delegation and a longtime adversary of Mr. Giuliani. "I refuse to believe that this could possibly happen to our country. I have too much confidence in our country to believe that this could really happen."

"All presidential candidates have some element of hometown opposition-constituents angry about a factory closing, politicians spiteful about losing a bill or an election. But no candidate engenders as much local animus as Mr. Giuliani, whose terms as mayor were characterized by a series of spectacular running battles with various, mostly liberal constituencies. For the first months of his candidacy for president, prominent progressives in New York mocked the notion that a pro-choice, immigration-friendly serial husband with a history of opposition to guns would have a shot at the Republican nomination."

Let's not forget Rudy Julie Annie is also pro-sodomy. Democrats are worried a Republican will get elected who stands for the same things they do, but it won't be their candidate in the Oval Office. Not that there's some problem with Rudy Julie Annie's toxic positions, but only that he's a Republican stealing the Democrats thunder. If he were a Democrat, wily old Rangel would vote for Giuliani in, well, in a NY second.

A couple of months ago, I happened to catch a segment on Hardball hosted by the King of Bore, Chris Matthews. His show was on the road. Matthews guest was actor Sam Waterston, seen on Law and Order. Much to my shock, Waterston was there to promote a new movement called 'Unity 08.' This organization's solution to the political baby diaper residue we've seen in Washington, DC for decades is, get this: "By the term "Unity Ticket" we mean one Republican and one Democrat, in whatever order, or an independent with a Unity Team (such as a Republican for Vice President and a Democrat designated to be Secretary of State). We are intent on electing to the White House a team of leaders in good position to seek common ground with the leaders of both parties in the Congress on the crucial issues confronting the country."

Elect a Republican or Democrat for president and the VP would be the opposite party. Sounds good to me since there's no difference in their platforms except how they repackage old lies for new and sell them to the American people. Another goal of Unity '08: "Secondly, unlike the two major parties system of selecting delegates and then conventioneering to select their candidates, Unity08 will be based in the virtual online world where every registered American voter can help select the ticket to represent them." I am in full agreement that these conventions for the two parties are corrupt beyond words, but what about the 42% of American households who don't have computers or never hear of Unity '08? Their method to elect the next president is by using an online convention. Are those Americans to be left out of the process? I guess so since it's all to be done online. Unity '08 also wants to achieve a "re-United States of America" whatever that is.

During this love fest between the smarmy Matthews and Waterston, Matthews asked a student if she knew who she was going to vote for? This late teen, perhaps early twenty something looking like a cross between Goth and Confusion, replied she had never voted before in her life. Waterston inquired to the effect, why not? Well, she hadn't found anyone she liked. Then Matthews queried what was she looking for in a candidate? Reply: "Oh, I don't know." Would the stuck on stupid in this country please stay out of the voting booth?

Speaking of the conventions: the corrupt machines (the Republican and Democrat parties) are cramming to move the primaries up faster than Hillary's nose grows. There's no reason to move these primaries except to cheat the American people. Millions of us believe it's to stop Ron Paul from getting the Republican nomination. This man is a threat to the shadow government. While I'm not a big gambler or anything, I did find this column that is an excellent summation of what is happening on the primary front and voter registration:

"Many states, in an effort to shut out Ron Paul are now closing their primaries. That means that only Republicans can vote in the Presidential primaries for a Republican candidate. Many states are doing this quickly and quietly and giving people very little time to learn about the new rules. For example, New Hampshire decided only a week ago that you will now have to change your party affiliation by October 12, 2007 or it will be too late to do so. New Hampshire also has a closed primary and only Republicans and possibly Independents will be allowed to vote for Ron Paul.

"In New York, you must be registered as a Republican or you cannot vote for Ron Paul and again, you must make this decision by October 12, 2007 or it will be too late. In New York, however, Independents cannot vote for Ron Paul. Same with New Jersey and many states around the nation. I hesitate to give you a link to a site that has correct information about voting in all 50 states because I have yet to find one that does not have an error and besides, this information is changing daily, as Ron Paul gains momentum. The people in power are doing their best to shut out the multitude of voices that want to vote for Ron Paul. If you are a Ron Paul supporter, or even thinking about becoming a Ron Paul supporter, please become a registered Republican immediately so that no matter what your state does to change the rules out from under you, you will still be allowed to vote for this great man.

"All of these arbitrary deadlines are designed to keep a candidate such as Ron Paul from gaining momentum and making a last minute push. Effectively, Ron Paul has until October 12, 2007 to get as many Democrats, and others to switch sides in key states like New York and New Hampshire, or they will not be able to vote for Ron Paul in the primaries. That means that the people in power have shortened the Ron Paul campaign to less than two weeks with the stroke of a pen!"

Once you vote in the primary, you can re-register back to any party you like. Be sure to check those primary dates in your state right away and your voter registration if you are a supporter of Congressman Paul. I also encourage you to contact Ron Paul's campaign office and tell him to take the matching federal funds so his campaign can compete against the big guns. I know Libertarians are against this, but if he doesn't get that nomination next summer, we the people will lose more than just a convention. Here's a quiz for you: Which major presidential candidate hasn't won a single straw poll vote? Marxist Hillary Clinton. Guess which major presidential candidate has the highest disapproval ratings of the American people hovering around 48%? Marxist Hillary Clinton. Which presidential candidate has won 15 straw polls to date in 9 states and given only a fraction of time to speak at any of the debates? Congressman Ron Paul.

This Saturday, October 20, 2007, I will again host constitutional attorney, Larry Becraft's radio show while he's in trial mode. My guest this Saturday will be the great legal warrior, Jeffrey Dickstein. I had the pleasure of watching Jeff in the court room during the federal trial against Joseph Banister. Jeff was Joseph's lead counsel; he was acquitted of all charges. Jeff is Bill Benson's legal counsel in a case that should be the talk of Dan Abrams (MSNBC), FAUX (FOX) news and on legal web sites across the Internet, but of course, the silence is defeafening. I have written about Bill's case before, how important this legal fight is and what it means for all of us. Click here for information on how to listen; I recommend getting a connection before show time just to make sure you don't miss anything. Show time is 7:00 am PST, 9:00 am CST and 10:00 am EST. I hope you'll tell your friends and family to tune in and listen to one of the most brilliant trial attorneys in America speak on this important case.

Our nation is dying right before our eyes while these people in Congress waste time in partisan bickering or selling U.S. out to foreign interests.
