TURNING POINT IN AMERICA'S HISTORY

Supreme Court Hearing On Marriage

Christians are likely to lose the Supreme Court ruling on legalizing Same Sex Marriage because the "defenders" of traditional marriage are basing their objections on a faulty foundation! Ruth Bader Ginsburg had no trouble yesterday blasting the faulty arguments for traditional marriage out of the ballpark.

NEWS BRIEF: "Ruth Bader Ginsburg eviscerates same-sex marriage opponents in court," The Guardian (UK), 28 April 2015.

"At a turning point in history ..."

This one phrase captures the essence of the gigantic spiritual battle facing America today. If the Supreme Court of the United States proclaims Same-Sex Marriage to be the law of the land, America has reached a "turning point in history" from which there will be no turning back.

"Ruth Bader Ginsburg has long been a liberal champion ... for her withering dissent from the court’s increasingly conservative consensus ... , what was striking on Tuesday was how her willingness to place it (support for gay marriage) along the civil rights continuum allowed her to cut through the argument in a way even the court’s conservative firebrands struggled to do."

What were Ginsburg's arguments which so caught the admiration of Liberal Media?

" 'Marriage today is not what it was under the common law tradition, under the civil law tradition', said Ginsburg ..."
"Marriage was a relationship of a dominant male to a subordinate female ..."

In one sentence, Ginsburg proved her position as a Radical Feminist without equal; then, she turned upon one of the "defenders" of traditional marriage and asked him, "Would that be a choice that state should [still] be allowed to have? To cling to marriage the way it once was?”

The poor, hapless lawyer stammered, " 'No' replied John Bursch, the somewhat chastised lawyer for the states who are seeking to preserve their ban on gay marriage."

Ruth Bader Ginsburg cleverly framed the debate, sprung the trap, and the defenseless lawyer for the states fell right into it. But, Ginsberg was not finished yet.

"Bursch was similarly eviscerated by Ginsburg when he tried to argue that the sole purpose of marriage was to ensure a stable relationship for procreation."

Who said the purpose of a stable relationship was for procreation? Taking this stance is tantamount to debate suicide, for which Ginsburg happily supplied the gun.

"'Suppose a couple, 70-year-old couple, comes in and they want to get married?' remarked the 82-year-old Ginsburg, to laughter, after a protracted debate over whether it was fair to ask couples if they wanted children before allowing them to wed. 'You don’t have to ask them any questions. You know they are not going to have any children'.”

Ginsburg continued, "All of the incentives, all of the benefits that marriage affords would still be available', said Ginsburg. 'So you’re not taking away anything from heterosexual couples. They would have the very same incentive to marry, all the benefits that come with marriage that they do now'.”

"In the end, her bottom line – rejecting the notion that extending marriage rights would somehow weaken the institution – was persuasive enough that even chief justice Roberts appeared sympathetic."

The weak line that these Conservative lawyers opposing gay marriage were basing their arguments upon was humanistic, i.e., that Tradition had always held this position. Gionsburg and her Liberal ilk were able to easily defeat this kind of human reasoning.

The only chance Christian leaders have in maintaining traditional marriage between a man and woman is that the Almighty Creator of the Universe thundered down from Heaven that marriage was to be HIS institution and was to be only between a man and a woman.

The only genuine defense of marriage is "THUS SAITH THE LORD"!

Marriage was commanded by God Himself and that is the only basis upon which Christians should base their defense of it. On the White Throne Judgment Day, people like Ruth Bader Ginsburg will face an angry Omnipotent Jesus Christ, Who will sweep away all her puny arguments with one word from His mouth and proceed to condemn the guilty to eternal separation from Him.

On the flip side, gay marriage was the key component of the homosexuality of Sodom and Gomorrah. In this sordid and short history, was there a supreme court Justice Ginsburg, whose brilliant oral arguments so impressed Sodom leaders and citizens that gay marriage was passed into Law?

God had the final say on that situation.

"But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the Lord exceedingly..." (Gen 13:13)

"And the Lord said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous; I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto me; and if not, I will know." (Gen 18:20-21)

Even though God knew the situation in Sodom -- because He is Omniscient -- He still personally visited the city. And, He reached His decision:

"Then the Lord rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the Lord out of heaven; And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground." (Gen 19:24-25)

Because He is Omnipotent, God will have the final say, not Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

America is the new Sodom. Listen to our prophetic demise.

"Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird ... For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities ... Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her." (Revelation 18:2, 5, 8)

How did Ancient Sodom perish at God's hand?

"... brimstone and fire from the Lord out of heaven"

How is America/Sodom going to perish at God's hand?

"Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire
