HOME-BOYS GANG UP; UNCLE TOM IS DEAD...
By Roger Fredinburg
Token GOP Black Patriarch Colin Powell showed his true colors today when he openly endorsed Barack Obama for President.
Another casualty it seems in Dr. Martin Luther King Juniors dream. If Colin Powell is charged with the awesome responsibility of judging by the content of someone's character and not the color of their skin, then Powell single handedly set race relations back about 50 years in one thoughtless politically charged lapse in judgment.
It's ironic that a military man like Powell could so easily turn on his veteran brother McCain. Turn on his political party, turn on his own social and political ideals, just to play the race unity card.
Or is it even more sinister?
Is it possible that Powell sees the good and profitable days as token black Republican sinking on the open seas of political change?
Is it further possible that Powell, who commands a handsome speaking fee might maneuver in the game in order to remain viable, and keep those speaking engagements and giant fees coming in?
Mr. Obama has no military background, no genuine life experience except as a shakedown artist training inner city blacks on methods to demand money from private and government sources by threatening to drag them into a contrived media circus accusing them of assorted race crimes. We called it extortion where I am from. In the inner city it's called community organizing.
In larger eastern seaboard cities it was commonplace for "made men" from the mob to swing by mom and pop joints and collect a little "insurance premium". Of course the mob used physical violence and arson to keep their stooges in line. Community organizers use similar tactics but for larger sums of money.
So, if Powell endorsed Obama just to stay in the cash flow fast lane, what does that tell us about Obama?
And more importantly, what does it say about Colin Powell?
The way I see it McCain better walk up to the microphone and remind the short sighted Americans with even shorter memories that there is a really big difference between the two.
If McCain is elected gasoline will likely drop to $2.00 a gallon.
If Obama is elected expect gas prices at about $10.00 a gallon.
Obama has promised to raise taxes in a depression..?
I admit I have never been a huge McCain fan. But, he is a war hero and a proven force for pro-life issues and lower taxes.
This election will set the direction for America either back towards freedom, or onward into socialism.
Once again we are saddled with the "lesser of two evils" conundrum, and I don't like it any better than any of you do.
I am putting my trust in Gods hands, mostly because I don't really trust most of you out there in America to have enough self control to renounce the big government promise of a chicken in every pot.

Hopefully there are at least enough votes out there to slow the shift to communism at least a little.
The grand Soviet communists always said they would take America without firing a shot.
