YOU CAN'T COME TO GRIPS WITH THIS
July 3, 2015
Here in the United States of America, you may speak your mind, choose your job, marry the spouse of your choice and better yourself like few other countries in the world.
In America, you may raise yourself up to be president of the United States even if you started out as an African-American in poverty with a father who left your mother and a stepfather who died before you reached the age of 12: Barack Hussein Obama.
No matter what your race or color, you can become a mega-rich, mega-star in the NFL, NBA and MLB. You possess opportunities to start your own business, obtain a college education and make something of yourself that you couldn’t do back in a third world country like India, Bangladesh or Ethiopia.
If you’re a minority man or woman, you can become a Supreme Court Justice or the CEO of a corporation. You may become an Oscar winner.
Yet, around this country daily, you see angry American citizens stomping on the American flag. You hear about American citizens joining Islamic jihad in Iraq. You hear angry Black leaders demanding that the Stars and Stripes of America be “put down” because of perceived discrimination to minorities.
But, if you go to any of the countries in Africa such as Sudan, Somalia and Congo—people kill each other as a normal aspect of daily life. You find starvation, misery and hopelessness. If you go to India, you see misery and suffering and trash on a level that boggles the mind. A trip to China would see you coughing and hacking every day of your stay from horrendously polluted air and water.
Take a trip to Mexico where corrupt leaders depress wages to $5.00 a day and no change for a decent life. Take a trip into Indochina for an eye-opening reality check. Check out Pakistan and Yemen. Killings, wars and human suffering on a level unimaginable in the USA. Try your luck with human rights in Saudi Arabia or Egypt. Women’s rights? Look for female genital mutilation, honor killings at 10,000 annually in the Muslim world and arranged marriages.
Nonetheless, guys like Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Pastor Jeremiah Wright in Chicago (famous for his “God d*mn America rant) and Louis Farrakhan demean their country and their flag as if they don’t carry any responsibility as to what happened in Ferguson, MO and other riots spots in America.
When 6,000 African-Americans killed each other last year and every year on average via their black on black violence—whom do you blame? How could Chicago suffer 50 black on black gunfights last year over the 4th of July? How dysfunctional can African-America become and not take responsibility?
When you see 73 percent of African-American children born out of wedlock and raised by a single mother on welfare—who do you blame? Let’s see, young African-American women enjoy a choice to stay in school, become educated and use birth control by choice—but none of that works if you quit school, become pregnant and create a life of dependency on welfare and watching the television where others live their dreams.
How do you come to grips with a 17 year old, 6’4”, 290 pound Michael Brown who robbed a store, beat an old man nearly to death on a home video and then, charges a policeman in broad daylight? Four African-American women and two African-American men testified that he didn’t raise his hands in surrender, but he DID charge the police officer with the intent to do bodily harm.
August 4, 2010, an African-American working in a beer plant in Baltimore stole beer to resell on his own time, but a camera caught him in the act. His supervisor gave him a chance to resign or be fired. He walked back into the shop and gunned down eight people, all white, screaming that they were racists.
Manchester, Connecticut, NBC News reported, “A driver caught stealing beer from the warehouse where he worked agreed to resign his job Tuesday and then as "cold as ice," one of his victims said, went on a shooting rampage, killing eight people and injuring two before committing suicide. Omar Thornton, 34, pulled out a handgun after a meeting in which he was shown video evidence of the thefts and was offered the chance to quit or be fired.”
No one rioted or burned buildings in retaliation. They let the law do its job.
Today in America, we see reasoned thought and action take a back seat to violence and lawlessness. We see our laws completely ignored by our president and Congress. We see the breakdown of the African-American family because of lack of jobs and lack of education. We see violence erupting in a blink in major cities across the nation.
What we don’t see: personal accountability and personal responsibility. If our own citizens think that someone else owes them an education without effort—think again. If our own citizens think they can birth babies with no means of support—they ride that misery train for all its worth. It’s all a choice.
What’s happening to our country befuddles me beyond imagination. We’re being multiculturalized beyond recognition of our own culture. Our citizens take back seat to the invasion of foreign cultures. Our jobs vanish into the hands of non-Americans with the blessings of our leaders.
Worse, the American people sit back, say nothing, do nothing and keep voting people back into office who destroy the country they swore to serve.
I can’t come to grips with what’s happening to our country.
