THIS IS A REAL EMERGENCY

The returns from my test of the real emergency broadcasting system are in.

My thanks go out to everyone who bothered to participate in the surveyparticularly those who took the extra time and effort to append a personal note to their responses. The results are as follows:

  • Total responses: 277
  • Fully favorable responses: 273 (98.5%)
  • Fully unfavorable responses: 1 (0.4%)
  • Partially favorable, partially unfavorable responses: 1 (0.4%)
  • Responses that did not indicate any choices: 2 (0.7%)

What conclusions can one draw from this?

First, 277 is a vanishingly small number, compared to the tens of millions of Americans who ought to be paying attention to these matters. So it points up the hard work we have yet to do. Because never in American history has so much, for so many, depended upon so few. This IS a REAL emergency!

Second, our work is rather plainly laid out for us. One of my correspondents put his finger on why the survey had employed the adjective useful in reference to my commentaries. The definition of useful is capable of being put to use. And the definition of use is the act or practice of employing something.

Another of my correspondents identified the use to which I hope my commentaries will be put:

I grew up as a child listening to the tests of the Emergency Broadcast system on radio and television * * *. As a child I thought that the government really had a plan to assist us during a real emergency. As a member of the US military for over 30 years I no longer have that illusion. Instead of preparing for an emergency the government is the emergency.

The emergency is here now. The very real crisis in this country is the failure of the general public to be involved in the government and allowing the government to virtually do as they please in slowly taking away our freedom. I fear for the future and what my grandchildren will have to live with as a socialist government.

Now, had I penned this passage, I should not have written the government, but instead the class of individuals who year after year obtain public office and operate as the Establishments stoogesbecause I should never give those individuals the satisfaction of believing for one instant that I consider their actions in any way to be legitimate governmental actions. In any event, my correspondents analysis of the problem is dead on: The very real crisis in this country is the failure of the general public to be involved in the government * * * .

The general public has to become involvedor at least a sufficient number of common Americans does. But how can we reach out to, educate, and energize a sufficient number of them?

First, we have to generate a sufficient number of us, who already know the score. Which means that we have to increase our present numbers by orders of magnitude. Each one of us has to influence at least ten others. Each of those ten has to influence at least another ten, and so on1 to 10, 10 to 100, 100 to 1,000...

Second, we ourselves have to become involved in governmentbecause if we, who understand the problem, do not become involved and do not provide the good example, then they, who do not understand, never will become involved. And the problem will never be solvedbecause we need them.

Third, we must become involved, not just in government in any which way, but in government in those few very specific ways that will bring millions of our fellow citizens into permanent, effective involvement in constitutional republican self-governmentthe key terms being permanent and effective.

So what are we to do? Because we are few, we must not divide our forces, but must concentrate them at the decisive points. In my earlier commentaries, I have singled out three critical tasks we must perform:

We must save this countrys existence as an independent, self-governing nationby thwarting the North American Union (and turning back the invasion of illegal aliens which is aimed at promoting it). But, although necessary, that alone is not sufficient.

We must also save the Constitutionby thwarting the national para-military police state being erected in the guise of homeland security. But, although also necessary, that alone is not sufficient, either.

We must also save common Americans economy freedom and prosperity, while striking the main economic weapon from the Establishments handsby curtailing the Federal Reserve Systems special privileges and returning America to constitutionally required and economically sound money of silver and gold.

No one has yet given me any reason to doubt my conclusion that the most plausible means for achieving all of these ends is by first revitalizing the Militia of the several Statesbecause only through the Militia will We the People regain true and effective legal authority, so that they will no longer have to depend upon, let alone to follow the illegal commands of, rogue public officials, politicians, political parties, selfish special-interest groups, the big media, and the intelligentsiia. But, this being true, revitalizing the Militia must become all patriots primary goal. Americans must first gain control of the instruments of constitutional authority and power before they can begin to exercise that authority and power.

One of my correspondents wanted to know why I have not told my readers how to go about completing this task. But I have! Not fully in my commentaries on NewsWithViews.com, to be sure. But I operate on the presumption that my readers know that printing has been invented, and exists in places other than the Internet. My book CONSTITUTIONAL HOMELAND SECURITY, VOLUME 1, THE NATION IN ARMS lays out a planthe only one of which I knowfor mobilizing large numbers of Americans to revitalize the Militia of the several States, State by State, throughout the country (As has become mandatory in marketing, it is available through Amazon; and no matter what Amazon says, sufficient books are available!) Further volumes in the series are being written (although too slowly for my satisfaction, because of the dearth of resources available to support the work). I also intend to draft one or more model State statutes for the purposebut only after the necessary foundations have been poured by (i) completion of the CONSTITUTIONAL HOMELAND SECURITY series and (ii) enrollment of large numbers of grass-roots activists to ensure the statutes enactment and implementation.

My plan depends upon identifying, mobilizing, organizing, educating, and deploying common Americans as political activists to convince State legislators now in office in one or more target States to enact the necessary legislation. I emphasize now in office, because we simply do not have the time to reconstitute even a single States legislature from the bottom up with new, presumably better, officeholders. We must work with what we have. Granted, in every State the present crop of State legislators is far from perfect. But it takes a crooked stick to beat a mad dog. They will have to suffice. After all, this IS a REAL emergency.

To compensate for State legislators imperfections, though, we shall have to provide them, word for word, with the statutes they should enact to revitalize the Militia. Statutes that are completely consistent with the Constitutioncontaining no shortcuts, no ifs, no buts, no howevers. On the one hand...but on the other hand is not a formula for national salvation. Specifically

Each statute must provide for revitalization of the MILITIA of the State of Xnot some establishment with a different name (Do we imagine ourselves incapable of convincing our fellow citizens of what the Constitution means and requires? Or are we ashamed of or embarrassed by our own Constitution? Do we fear the big medias demonization of the term militia? Must we operate only on their sufferance and according to their rules of engagement?)

Each statute must establish a universal duty of service for all able-bodied Americans from 16 to 60 years of age. (At the early stages of implementation, exemptions may be allowed to ease the transition from the present state of affairs to a fully organized population.)

Each statute must require all members of the Militia, other than conscientious objectors, to provide themselves with appropriate firearms, ammunition, and accoutrements, and to complete a basic firearms safety and familiarization course. (Gun control as it exists today must end, once and for all, if a National police state is to be averted.)

Each statute must clearly differentiate the States Militia from, and treat it as separate from and independent of, the Army and Navy of the United States, the National Guard, the Department of Homeland Security, and other like establishments.

Each statute must entrust to the Militia the oversight, and most of the primary functions, of homeland security within the State. After all, [a] well regulated Militia is necessary to the security of a free State.

And so on, through all the fundamental principles of the constitutional Militia as they developed during pre-constitutional times in the Colonies and independent States, and were then incorporated into the Constitution.

Once the necessary legislation has been enacted, the previous grass-roots mobilization will provide the first ranks of volunteers to make the revitalized Militia effective.

Because the Militia of the several States are the ONLY establishments that the Constitution explicitly authorizes and empowers to execute the Laws of the Union, common Americans can thwart the imposition on this country of a National para-militarized police state. For, being properly organized, armed, disciplined, trained, and endowed with legal authority, the Militia will obviate any supposed need for a police state to provide securityand will be able to deter, resist, and defeat any rogue para-militarized police forces that attempt to aid and abet aspiring usurpers and tyrants.

Once common people throughout America have been organized in the Militia, in order to secure their own financial homeland security they can create a parallel currency-system of silver and gold, through which the real economythe economy of the real producers, businessmen and workers alikecan return to sound money, circumventing the Federal Reserve System.

And with both the Power of the Sword and the Power of the Purse in common Americans hands through their Militia, both the North American Union and the even more megalomaniacal New World Order will be finishedat least with respect to Americas participation in them, without which those schemes will prove to be nothing but the pipe dreams of political opium-smokers.

In its proper perspective, this is not so much a difficult job as it is an exciting adventure and personal challenge. How many times in world history have common people had the opportunityand the abilityto save their country, thwart a supra-national conspiracy, secure their economic well-being, and generally take control of their lives from a pack of powerful political predators?

Do you have anything better to do? And will not such an adventure and challenge excite millions of other Americans, especially among the young, who will have the most to suffer, for the longest period of time, if the globalists plots succeed?

So, it is the M word that we need to make the common political currency of millions of Americans. Revitalize the Militia, use them to thwart a police state and to regain control over Money, and we can save our Motherland. Dont, and we wont. Is that simple enough?
