TIME TO PRACTICE LAW IN MONTANA

I had to make one of the hardest decisions of my life recently. That is, whether or not to keep my name in the running for the Senate seat appointment for the senate district comprising Flathead and Lake Counties. During the application process, I made the short list of 3, which nomination was made by the nominating committee members of the Republican Party. This list was to be submitted to the County Commissioners for their final appointment to the Senate seat. Thus, I would have potentially had a 33% chance of being appointed to that seat.

However, I had another priority weighing on my heart and mind: whether or not to begin practicing law in MT. My final decision was to forego the possibility of being in the legislature at this exciting and pivotal time in Montana politics and to focus my time and energy on handling cases that can have political and constitutional significance in this great State. The decision caused a big tear in my heart, for both are of upmost importance to me.

I have been practicing law for 7 years, after having graduated from Cumberland School of Law in 2004 at the age of 24. I started out as a Florida prosecutor where I prosecuted thousands of criminal cases, handled upwards of 300 cases per docket cycle (approximately 6 weeks) and tried over 50 jury trials in a 2 ½ year period. I then opened a solo practitioner law practice where I handled general litigation and eventually created a specialized legal service for property management companies. Throughout my legal career, I have arduously studied political philosophy mainly from the enlightenment period to the civil war period. My understanding and thoughts concerning political truth has been deepened and strengthened because of the hundreds of treatises I have soaked my mind and soul into for these many years.

I have written several books as well, one of which was published in 2010 (Freedom For A Change) and another which I anticipate to be published in 2011 entitled, Romans 13: The True Meaning of Submission. In conjunction, I have written hundreds of provocative political articles addressing the deeper issues and problems facing the United States, which has led to my being invited to speak at numerous political events and radio shows throughout the States, including in Montana. Needless to say, my passion is in discovering and advocating the truth as it relates to freedom, government and society. Undoubtedly, this is a never-ending process which takes serious discipline and determination.

I believe that I have been placed in Montana for such a time as this. I believe it is a safe presumption that many Montanans need an attorney who holds the convictions I hold, understands the principles I propose and uses these convictions and understanding to advocate not only for the client’s interest but also for freedom’s interest. To that end, I trust that freedom-loving Montanans will consider using the legal services of Tim Baldwin.
