This message is dedicated to every child in America and to all who love them. The current push to infuse Education for Sustainability into schools nationwide is not what it appears to be. There is a partisan political agenda attached to Education for Sustainability. Every parent, teacher, student and citizen needs to understand this agenda now before teaching Green politics becomes the new mission of public education.

The concept of sustainability, the idea of leaving the world a better place, is not the issue. The problem is that public support for the general concept of sustainability is being used to impose the Greens political agenda. A prime example of this is Education for Sustainability. This program, although presented as non-partisan, reflects the goals of the international Green parties.

Political extremists in the Green movement, from environmental groups to the Democratic left, are using Education for Sustainability to target Americas youth, from kindergarten on, for political gain. The Greens know if they can brainwash the majority of Americas children to vote Green they can control Americas future. Targeting children is a cowards way to build political support. History reminds us:

In 1939, Nazi Germany declares war on freedom and demands conformity from its youth --Swing Kids

Demanding conformity from our youth is what Education for Sustainability is all about; its a smokescreen to hijack public education, politicize the curriculum and brainwash our children. The goal of Second Nature, one of the main groups pushing Education for Sustainability, is to use education to 'leverage change throughout society'. The Greens are using education as a political tool to train students to support goals that will change America. What level of change are the Greens going for? Anthony Cortese, the President of Second Nature, clarified their goals, stating:

And humans are guided by a whole set of beliefs and values, and those come from culture, from religion, from social, economic, and political structure. We need to change all of those.

Education for Sustainability advocates are using fear of environmental ruin to mask these political goals. What do the experts have to say about the environmental movements political agenda and fear mongering?

What we find now is the fleecing of the American publics pocketbooks by the environmental movement for their political use. What we find now is exhausting litigation, instigation of false claims, misleading science, and scare tactics to fool Americans into believing disastrous environmental scenarios that are untrue. --US Senator James Inhofe, Chairman, Environment and Public Works Committee October 10, 2004

The American standard of education requires a non-partisan learning environment to ensure students emerge from the experience with their personal beliefs intact. This non-partisan standard prevents any political party from using education to brainwash students to produce future support for their party. A non-partisan education is an essential safeguard to free thought, individual freedom and the democratic process.

Our most stalwart concept, the one that we hold forth for future leaders in the Education for Sustainability movement is that the entire education experience must change behavior --Anthony Cortese

According to Cortese, changing students behavior requires a complete shift in thinking, values and action. Using education to regulate and standardize childrens thoughts, values and actions is brainwashing. Education for Sustainability would rob students of their individuality by forcing them to conform to Green group-think. Is the purpose of public education to graduate individuals or to produce cookie-cutter kids who think and act the same?

Public education was intended to teach basic skills to all, not to serve as a brainwashing tool for the revolutionary Green movement. Cortese refers to Education for Sustainability as a bold experiment. We do not send our precious children to school so political extremists can experiment with their lives and redirect their beliefs.

Education for Sustainability is harmful because it endangers free thought and eliminates the non-partisan standard that safeguards individual freedom and the democratic process. This is one of the most important issues of our time because Education for Sustainability goals mirror Green party goals and Green party goals mirror Communism.

Freedom is a fragile thing and is never more than one generation away from extinction. It is not ours by inheritance; it must be fought for and defended constantly by each generation, for it comes only once to a people. Those who have known freedom and then lost it have never known it again. --Ronald Reagan

Our mission is clear. Our children cant wait. Its time to get Green politics out of our schools.
