OBAMA FIDDLES WHILE MIDDLE EAST BURNS

How do we even begin to describe the leadership style and behavior of President Obama? Just some of the many things that come to mind as he has responded to the building Middle East crises, especially Libya, are his unempathetic passivity and total lack of courage and leadership in protecting civil rights. He displays a total lack of competency and ability to lead the free world to stand for those begging for America’s help and intervention. He is a bold failure.
Up until this lame administration, it was a given that we would lead, confront and take out those who were evil and killing others. The world actually counted on us to be the ‘good guys’ and act. We used to stand no matter what the tilted, highly Muslim influenced UN would say. We pursued what was right.
Now we hear Obama and Hillary saying America won’t go first and lead in our response to Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi wiping out thousands of his people who dare to march in the streets, picket and stand for freedom. In Gadhafi’s world, either the people love and obey him to the letter or they will die.
Events and murders were happening all over Lybia for 10 days before we heard from Obama. Then Obama’s bold move was to send Hillary to Geneva for international talks. There was supposed to be a whole lot of reasoning with other countries that would fix the problem. Meanwhile, while Obama and Hillary are waxing philosophical and ever so wordy, murders are happening and America is NOT leading.
Oh….did I tell you yet that this week Obama has doing great at golf and had fun picking his favorite NCAA teams. Who cares if Japan and the Middle East are in melt down…..Golf caddie please.
Once Obama got the 600 Americans out of Libya he still stalled as our alleys led. British Prime Minister Cameron and French President Sarkozy were first to call for a no-fly zone. All this, while Obama and Hillary say they have delayed because they don’t want to appear like they are trying to take Libyan oil.
Obama and Hillary don’t want to appear to the Muslim world like they are extreme or that they would steal oil. Isn’t that special? Maybe they both need therapy. They sure wouldn’t want to develop the dreaded….. ‘Muslim appearism-aphobia’
This administration is doing it again….too little, too late. We saw the Obama administration give passive and empty words to the Green movement in Iran in 2009 who were courageously marching in the streets against the evil tyrant Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Hundreds were killed and arrested, while we passively watched. Obama made a barely audible rebuke to the President’s treatment of the masses rising up and standing for freedom. That was it! That was our time to move quickly, lead and stop the murders. We didn’t need the UN or Mommy to tell us what to do. That was America’s opportunity to defend freedom and rise up against this aggressive and evil tyrant and help to unseat him. We failed.
Now, we have seen the Middle East light on fire all over. Thousands in many Muslim countries are rising up and courageously putting their lives on the line to taste freedom. This is not only about the importance of standing boldly for those wanting freedom, but also about standing for our national security. It is a deadly danger for America to sit back and continue to be passive as Islamic countries implode because of groups like the Muslim Brotherhood and other radicals waiting to swoop in and take over. The Islamic world is radical enough without us sitting back and saying it is basically none of our business, while they become more radical and dangerous to anyone who is different.
What have we seen from the Obama administration? In response to Egypt’s uprising, Obama quickly backed off support for long standing alley Hosni Mubarak (not a perfect guy, I know) and siding with the radical, Muslim Brotherhood who has been circling their wagons to lead this ‘moderate’ Muslim country that has nuclear capability.
We see Obama concerned more about wrong perceptions and appearing extreme to the Muslim world, so we won’t act in a timely manner to stop the murders in Libya. In fact, the world is told that we won’t act first on this and that is supposed to win us points.
Last year we saw the passive and total loss of a golden opportunity to get things going in the right direction in Iran by supporting the Greens and now all we hear from Obama as usual are words, words and more words. Let’s talk, stall, discuss and wait. That is his plan for international leadership for America.
