OBAMA TAUNTS AMERICA ON THE EVE OF ITS MOST-IMPORTANT HOLIDAY

Announcing through the Assistant Secretary of the Treasury’s blog on Tuesday evening that he has decided to ignore a law he said was essential, a law that couldn’t wait until it was read to be passed, a law that is the centerpiece of his presidency, President B.H. Obama let the country in on a little secret: he’s scared of Obamacare, and it’s such a mess, both politically and administratively, that he decided he won’t be enforcing it, at least until the 2014 elections are over.
There’s a little problem with this, happy as most Americans are that they’ll get at least a temporary reprieve from the government’s takeover of health care, nationalization of a sixth of the economy, new employer taxes, individual fines, and the institution of death panels as rationing agents.
That problem is one that we face because Obama constantly does whatever he pleases, the law be damned. Whether it’s circumventing Congress and imposing regulations without the validity of law; or making recess appointments in violation of the Constitution, or ignoring our immigration laws, or running guns to druglords in Mexico, he does whatever he pleases. The problem we have is what to do with a rogue, power-drunk President.
He does what he pleases all the time, and gets away with it, but this time may be different, because, in ignoring this law, Obama is pulling the rug out from under his fanatical supporters, the fellow travelers and power freaks who backed the Obamacare tax scheme, sometimes at great peril to their own careers.
Some of those fools backed Obamacare because it was the Party thing to do; others backed it because they actually believed him. The Party fools have few principles anyway, and feel only mildly betrayed; but the True Believers, including many in the press and some still metaphorically in diapers, must be appalled! They were convinced to their souls that Obamacare was essential to the survival of the human race, and we can’t wait another minute, even to read it!
He sold them all out. But it’s a lot worse than that. He sold out his duty. He sold out the country.
A few pundits have opined that the president can choose to enforce laws as he sees fit. But there’s a problem with that. They’re wrong. He can’t.
President Obama swore: "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, so help me God." [Article I, Section 1, Constitution of the United States of America]
Then, there's the matter of the Constitution, where, a little farther down Article II, in Section 3, you see that the President "...shall take care that the laws be faithfully executed."

Deciding not to enforce a law is NOT "taking care that the laws be faithfully executed." The president has no such power as he has assumed; he is bound by the Constitution and his oath to it. He doesn't have the option to do as he pleases; that's a privilege reserved to kings and dictators.
This president is openly inviting impeachment for his dereliction of duty and breaking his oath. Do you suppose anyone in official D.C. has the guts or the devotion to our Constitution to do anything about it, or will it fall to an angry mob?
