NEW "SMOKING GUN" EVIDENCE FOR OKC BOMBING CASE

April 20, 1995 “Smoking Gun” FBI Teletype

In early 2008 the FBI finally turned over to Salt Lake City (SLC) attorney Jesse Trentadue a “smoking gun” FBI Teletype that had been sent from the OKC FBI filed office to FBI director Louis Freeh and all other FBI field offices at “201118Z APR 95”. The teletype was sent 21 hours and 18 minutes after the OKC bombing which happened at 9:02 a.m. on April 19, 1995. Even though the teletype was ordered to be released by SLC federal judge Dale Kimbal in 2005, the FBI waited until early 2008 to release the teletype to Jesse Trentadue according to what Trentadue has said.

Significant portions of the FBI teletype will be quoted, described and commented on below.

The teletype first makes reference to an earlier teletype sent to Freeh and all FBI field offices pertaining to the same subject but 8 days earlier on Aril 11, 1995 suggesting prior knowledge:

“RE OKLAHOMA CITY TELETYPE TO DIRECTOR AND ALL FIELD OFFICES DATED APRIL 11, 1995.”

Next the teletype describes the establishment of an important FBI command center near the bombed Murrah building. The command center was set up earlier in the late morning of April 19, 1995. The significance of the command center will be discussed later in this article:

“…A COMMAND POST HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED AT 11 EAST 6TH STREET, OKLAHOMA CITY, FOUR BLOCKS FROM THE CRIME SCENE.”

Within less than 21 hours after the bombing the teletype “claims” that a full truck VIN number had been developed for the Ford Ryder truck McVeigh rented and that was exploded in front of the Murrah building:

“INITIAL CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION RESULTED IN LOCATION OF A REAR DIFFERENTIAL HOUSING FOR A FORD RENTAL TRUCK WHICH IS BELIEVED TO HAVE CONTAINED THE EXPLOSIVE DEVICE. THE PARTIAL VIN OBSERVED ON THE HOUSING WAS USED TO DEVELOP A COMPLETE VIN AS 17DNF72JUPVA26077.”

Jesse Clear, the former Pentagon terrorism advisor at the time of the OKC bombing spent two years from 1996-1998 investigating the FBI’s claim that it had been able to identify the complete truck VIN number from the partial VIN number on the differential housing. Clear even visited a Ford truck manufacturing plant. After being told of the 20 April 1995 FBI teletype, Clear now believes it may have not been possible for the FBI to develop the full truck VIN number in less than 24 hours after the bombing unless the FBI had prior knowledge.

At the time when the FORD truck in question was built and stamped with a partial VIN number, there was not a sophisticated automated data records retrieval system set up to develop a full VIN number except after 3-5 days if not a week. Although a better data retrieval system was developed at the time of the OKC bombing it is believed it was not capable of being used until after the bombing to afford retrievals in less than 24 hours. The FBI VIN investigation without prior information could also have been expected to take more than 24 hours because it was conducted possibly even at night on April 19, 1995 and very early am on April 20, 1995 before the teletype was sent out.

The next item in the teletype mentions a brown pickup truck. This is a reference to a late model brown Chevy pickup truck with a bug shield seen driven by Muslim suspects Abraham Amad and Iraqi Al Hussain Hussaini according to eyewitnesses in front of the Murrah building and a few blocks north within less than 5 minutes before the bombing:

“SEVERAL LEADS ARE OUTSTANDING RELATIVE TO A BROWN PICKUP TRUCK OBSERVED IN THE VICINITY OF THE FEDERAL BUILDING AT 9:00 A.M. ON APRIL 19, 1995.”

The truck and the two occupants were the subject of an FBI APB broadcast in OK on local television for several days after the bombing. Interviews of witnesses to the truck were broadcast live on the scene within 5 minutes after the bombing by KTOK radio news reporter Cary Hulsey. Telephone company employee Kay Herron saw and identified the two occupants of the truck as the truck passed within two to three feet of her on the street. Ahmad was detained, questioned and then released at London’s Heathrow airport after fleeing the day of the bombing. Muslim Samir Khalil in OKC employed Hussaini and Ahmad.

Khalil is the man that Rohrabacher referred to in his speech that he believes may have been on the unindicted co-conspirator list for the 1993 WTC bombing. The CIA, and Presidents Clitnon and HW Bush brought the Iraqi Hussaini to the US after the first Gulf war. The FBI never has questioned Hussaini despite news reports for months by OKC TV station and NBC affiliate KFORTV concerning witness Kay Herron’s identifications. Yet as Rohrabacher also reported, Hussaini was a baggage/food handler at Boston’s Logan airport at the time of a 9/11 hijacked flight originating out of the airport.

What follows next is a stunning revelation because it indicates the FBI had been tracking on April 13, 15 & 16, 1995, just days BEFORE the bombing, “liquid detonators” that may have been shipped in connection with the bombing. This also suggests prior knowledge and /or warning. Liquid detonators would include but not be limited to nitroglycerin.

“INFORMATION HAS ALSO BEEN DEVELOPED THAT A XXX PURCHASED ON APRIL 13, 1995 A “LIQUID DETONATOR” FROM A XXX DOB XXX SSAN XXX XXXX TWO AND ONE HALF OUNCES OF ‘LIQUID DETONATOR WERE SHIPPED BY XXX VIA FEDERAL EXPRESS TO XXX ON APRIL 15, 1995. ON APRIL 16, 1995 XXXXXXXXXX. “(ENTIRE PARAGRAPHS XX’D OUT).

The 1993 WTC bombing architect Ramzi Yousef (who Rohrabacher believes may have conspired with OKC bomber Terry Nichols) developed the use of liquid detonators in the bombing of a jet liner over the Pacific in 1994. Liquid detonators are a terror weapon of choice by Islamic terrorists as evidenced by the screening of sports event attendees and airline passengers in the US carrying liquid containers starting in at least 2004 if not earlier.

This very important lead about a suspect with a background in chemical engineering given at the end of the teletype may have never been followed up. Court documents show that the FBI agent supervisor assigned to track the lead, Thomas Price, was reassigned soon thereafter and sent to supervise the interrogation of Terry Nichols in Herrington, Kansas.

“XXX IS DESCRIBED AS A XXX APPROXIMATELY XXX YEARS OLD WITH A BACKGROUND IN CHEMICAL ENGINEERING. XXX IS BELIEVED TO BE STAYING IN A MOTEL ROOM IN WICHITA, KANSAS.”

A number of the bomb making plotters in the 1993 WTC bombing had US college courses (and in some cases degrees) in chemical engineering including Ramzi Yousef and Nidal Ayyad who attended Rutgers. Steve Coburn was another suspect in the OKC bombing with chemical engineering and explosives expertise who could have been the man the FBI knew was “staying in a motel room in Wichita.’ Coburn had been in contact with McVeigh and Arkansas gun dealer Roger Moore (worked for the FBI and CIA).

There are reports that Coburn is believed to have been traveling in an old brown truck seen by witnesses in front of McVeigh when McVeigh was headed north toward Kansas on I35 but stopped by OK Highway Patrol trooper Charles Hanger within 90 minutes after the bombing. This old brown truck was first seen in OKC when McVeigh went to (and was videotaped at) a Total gas station about a mile from the bombed Murrah building. Coburn is known to have blown up explosives in the desert near Kingman, Arizona, an effort connected to McVeigh’s other associates who knew of the bomb plot, Terry Nichols and Michael Fortier.
