DIPSTICKS IN WASHINGTON, D.C.

This one about the oil shortage has been around the Internet a number of times but it surfaced on my e-mails recently.

It says a lot of folks can't understand how we came to have an oil shortage here in our country. Well, there's a very simple answer. Nobody bothered to check the oil. We just didn't know we were getting low. The reason for that is purely geographical. Our OIL is located in Alaska, California, Coastal Florida, Coastal Louisiana, Kansas, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania and Texas but our dipsticks are located in Washington, D.C.

Let's face it folks, no one is minding the store in America. Most Congress people don't even read the bills which the special interest groups and others promote before they vote "aye". The recent CAFTA vote is a typical example. These traitors, who may believe we are an indispensable nation, ignore their constitutional oaths which require them to defend America against all domestic and foreign enemies of which there are many in both categories.

I remember when I was heavily involved in the GOP in Oregon, it was always the same old "mantra" -- the party first! It mattered not whether candidates voted with the Democrats or had socialist leanings once they were elected on the GOP ticket and became an incumbent, we were all expected to get behind them in the next election cycle. But what about AMERICA FIRST? Where are we going to find principled people who forget about the next election cycle, media criticism and vote to save our country from destruction within?

Unconstitutional federal programs enacted by the FDR and other Democrat administrations have long been a drain on our economy but are now eagerly supported by the GOP.

Our "free trade" (not fair trade) policies have been disastrous. Jobs that once paid a living wage in the U.S. are being outsourced resulting in a barrage of personal bankruptcies as the national debt continues to grow. In 2003, federal spending reached $20,300 per household, the first time it exceeded $20,000 since the height of World War II.

President Bush said on Labor Day 2002, "We have a responsibility that when somebody hurts, government has got to move." And now our government has been committed to the crisis in the Gulf states.

We're being forced to buy products made by slave labor in Third World countries. It is difficult to find any 100% American-made products any more.

The name of the game is equalization. America must be brought down and other countries elevated until we are all "equal." Grades in the public schools are being handled in a similar manner. Individualism is being eliminated. Likewise, free trade promotes the global socialist agenda with the steady transfer of the wealth of the West to the less fortunate of the earth.

As America falls deeper and deeper into debt and our enemies, China and the Soviet Union, become stronger and stronger as a result of our pandering to them, platitudinarians such as Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Bill O'Reilly, Ann Coulter and Laura Ingraham and hundreds of other "minor players", who read from the Bush Administration talking points script, keep assuring us all is well on the home front but more and more Americans are waking up to the fact that this is a lie. They feel it in their gut!

But what really galls me about these conservative lickspittles is that few, if any, have personally served their country in the military or have put their own children in the middle of the battles or to shed their blood on foreign soil. With only a rare exception, it is the middle class and poor American kids that answer the call.

Oh yes, some high-salaried, conservative reporters may have been assigned to cover a story in a few hot spots of the world from their safe balcony in some high-rise hotel, but that's about the extent of their involvement. All they can do is spew out the Republican party line.

When I challenged Bill O'Reilly about his lack of military service, his blood was boiling as he pointed his finger at me on his "No Spin" TV show and said, "You are sadly misguided Ms. Freauf. You have no idea what I've done for this country at any level..." And my challenge suddenly became a personal attack according to O'Reilly.

A reporter at New Orleans said he'd covered war stories but there are usually pockets of destruction but in the Gulf states after the hurricane, he said there was destruction as far as the eye could see proving my point that most of today's war correspondents cover the story from a safe distance. My husband is a Korean Vet. Our son gave four years in the U.S. navy. His ship was near Lebanon when our Embassy was blown up! We were already hated way back in the 80s.

Laura Ingraham was on the radio recently talking about Lincoln's civil war emancipating the slaves. While that is partially true, why doesn't she tell her listeners the real purpose of Lincoln's Civil War was the beginning of centralized big government. Granted it has come in increments so only a few astute noticed but we are now feeling the results of such deception.

These pundits rely on short memories of the people. But listeners to Rush will remember how he promoted the North American Free Trade Agreement day in and day out to his listeners. I quit listening to him at that point. We had a Democrat President but a Republican-controlled Congress, thanks to Gingrich's "Contract with America", and the whole bunch sold us out! Our jobs are going to Mexico and yet the illegal Mexicans keep coming across our borders for a better life! Why? Because of the perks which are helping to further bankrupt us and which they still do not get in Mexico.

And once NAFTA eliminated our American borders and made us "one" with Mexico and Canada, the next logical step for the one-worlders was the Central American Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA) and while informed constituents widely opposed CAFTA, our "lame duck" Congress succumbed to vote-buying, bribery, threats, deception and arm twisting and passed the legislation. CAFTA is a major leap toward a Free Trade Area of the Americas Agreement (FTAA) combining South America with North America and Central America. And who can we blame? Well, who is in power? Who is brow-beating, extorting and using scare tactics to get these agreements passed bringing us closer to one-world dictatorship?

And our presence in Iraq is not going to bring about democracy or peace in the Middle East. Our pagan culture and that of the Muslims is about as compatible as fire and gasoline. Our foreign policies have brought about an epidemic of hatred. The radical Muslim community sees US as an evil, immoral empire. Trying to force democracy on every country on earth will not make Americans safer. Besides, our Founding Fathers did not even believe in democracy. They gave us a self-governing Republic "If we can keep it," as one said. And while comparing our Bill of Rights with the draft being proposed for Iraq we find it more aligns with the Soviet Bill of Rights than ours.

The troubles in the Middle East began centuries ago when Abraham and Sarah were promised a son by God but because Sarah was old and felt that was impossible, Sarah encouraged Abraham to sleep with her handmaiden. Ishmael, which represents the Palestinians, was later born. (Genesis 16)

Sarah eventually did have a baby as God had promised which they called Isaac, who represents Israel. Because of their disobedience, peace will never come to that area of our world without divine intervention and Bush is not God!

This has been a religious war ever since and will continue to be so. The Islamic terrorists of 9/11 were over here because we were over there. We threw aside President Washington's warnings about not sticking our nose in the affairs of other nations and we took sides in this religious civil war and 4,000 innocent Americans paid with their lives on September 11.

While there is anarchy in the Middle East, we are seeing anarchy in the Gulf states since the hurricane. Helicopters trying to rescue people are being shot at by gang members. Unrest is growing in crowded "refugee" facilities.. The authorities in charge are simply overwhelmed and the Posse Commutates act is once again being disregarded as it was at the Branch Davidian in 1993 and military troops are being asked to come to New Orleans to assist.

David Wilkerson in his book THE VISION warned, among other things, about such things as nature unleashing its fury. Many men would appear repentant during the times of violent chastisement by nature. We are hearing people thanking God for their miraculous rescues in New Orleans but will the short periods of relief make it appear that nature had "settled down" and people will fall back into their old habits resulting in more violence with each event growing in intensity and frequency? Church attendance increased briefly after 9/11. Are they still attending today?

Wilkerson also wrote about the flood of erotic filth, an increase of false doctrines, the repercussions from divorce, the spiritual emptiness in many homes causing children to become alienated from their parents and the parents simply giving up resulting in children joining gangs they now see as their families.

In such times as these, do you really believe local law authorities are going to save YOUR family or their own? Which families would you save first? And this is why our Founding Fathers gave us the second amendment. In times of a crisis, we're all pretty much on our own but people have been so dependent on Big Brother for decades they no longer can think or do for themselves. Maybe this is a wake up call for other Americans too.

America's misleaders have strayed from their constitutional roots and like a rebellious child who disobeys his parents and ends up in deep trouble, America is experiencing the same type of punishment. It's now being revealed that the Dipsticks in Washington, D.C. were looking for a reason to go to war on Iraq long before 9/11. Arab and Islamic people have long had a deep resentment of U.S. domination and our support of Israel. Intervention was not the solution but ended up the problem.

I personally don't believe the war in the Middle East is winnable. My husband recently discovered the bees had made a nest in the big pipe that holds up our portable basketball backboard. I asked him how he proposed getting rid of them. He knew he had to plan well or he'd end up being the victim. In fact, we had one lone bee in our kitchen yesterday looking for him. I see the Middle East as a giant bee hive and Bush disturbed it when he went into Iraq on faulty information. While we may kill a few, more will come.

Osama says a jihad against America becomes the duty of every Muslim and one out of every six people on earth is a Muslim. Columnist William Pfaff says, "It was a fateful mistake for Bush to have declared his 'war against terrorism', after September 11, 2001. That made it a war that can't be won."

A wife and business owner whose husband is serving in Iraq recently wrote to Annie's Mailbox about the increasing negative remarks her customers are saying about this Iraqi war. I'm sure they are unaware of her circumstances for none of us would deliberately berate our dedicated military, but opposition to the war seems to be growing. As President Bush's popularity continues to fall, hopefully public pressure may soon force him to begin pulling troops back to protect our own borders from intruders as he, no doubt, will proclaim "success in Iraq" and that they are now able to stand on their own feet to defend the "democracy" he gave them.
