ARE WE IN THE GREAT TRIBULATION AND DID WE GET LEFT BEHIND?

A British minister who came to the U.S. after WWII said in Great Britain during the blitz, night after night he and his church members had to go down in the subways to protect themselves from the bombings, and practically every night one person would have a nervous breakdown causing them to wonder if the Lord had returned for His church in what the Bible calls the Rapture and for some reason, his church got left behind? The Greek word for Rapture is Harpazo meaning “caught or snatched up” and the liberals will be glad to see us go (2 Thes. 2:3) but they don’t realize how hard it is going to be for them. They are going to enter the Great Tribulation.
AMERICA FOLLOWING FALL OF ROMAN EMPIRE
The American Republic was bound- is still bound to follow in the centuries to come the same course to destruction as did Rome. But our real ground of complaint is that we have been pushed down the demagogic road to disaster by conspiratorial hands far sooner and far faster than would have been the results of natural political evolution.[1]
America up until September 11, 2001 with the exception of the Great Depression and two world wars not fought on our land, had a pretty good life during 20th century as we became more affluent and never had to face such calamities from foreigners but since then it has been one attack after another right up until recently with the immigrant invasion and the biggest scam ever by a sitting President and carried out like clockwork: 55,000 kids brought to the U.S. And then there is financial instability, the ISIS beheadings and now Ebola. And it’s a mystery why suddenly euthanasia approved in Oregon by initiative in 1997 is suddenly in the national news when 29-year old Brittany Maynard from San Francisco diagnosed with incurable brain cancer moved to Oregon to she could experience Death with Dignity. Throw in a few asteroids, meteors, solar flares and cyber world infrastructure attacks and perhaps some are wondering if we are in the Great Tribulation after all.
When I dabble in spiritual matters I rely a great deal on J. Vernon McGee, renowned evangelist who died in 1988 but is still being heard five days a week on many radio stations worldwide with his “Through the Bible in Five Years” programs. I have his five volume commentaries.
In 2 Thessalonians it seems someone had been circulating a letter or an oral word among the Thessalonians that the Day of the Lord had come and had already gathered out the church to Himself and that the world was then living in the judgment where people were being persecuted so Apostle Paul is attempting to allay their fears of the still baby Christians. He’d been with them only three short weeks and in that time had told them about the miraculous birth of Christ and had taken them right up to the crucifixion and the forth coming Great Tribulation in Revelation – a chapter many churches have failed to address after 2014 years.
PROPHECY RUN AMOK 2: FEARMONGERING

Paul explained to them the “man of sin” must come first…” and “our gathering together unto him” is yet in the future. (2 Thes. 2:1 KJV) Therefore, they could reasonably believe they were not in the Great Tribulation but added, the outward organization of the professing church is going to go into total apostasy (Luke 18:8 KJB) and this is confirmed in the book of Revelation. (Rev. 3:14-15 KJB) In the fourth chapter the church has been removed from the earth, and nothing is left but an empty shell of an organization that has a form of godliness but denies the power of it.
MANY PASTORS AVOID PROPHECY
Because McGee didn’t shy away from things in the Bible which many other pastors avoid like prophecy and the soon coming of Christ as being our comforting hope, he said when he was a young preacher in the Presbyterian denomination, they didn’t have much to say about prophecy and he said very candidly he didn’t think the ministers knew very much about it. They would use the excuse saying McGee shouldn’t preach on that because it is deep truth and should be given only to mature saints. It shouldn’t be given to new believers. However, Paul when he was with the Thessalonians for less than a month, was preaching prophecy and when he got to the 2 Thessalonians, he taught them about the Great Tribulation, and the ”man of sin” will appear also known as Antichrist who will deceive the whole world. (2 Thes. 2:3-11) One of his claims will be that he is God (Rev. 13) and will have signs which will appear to the scientific world of the day as well as to the politicians and the religious world. Why do you think this will happen? Those who do not stand for something will believe anything and those not grounded in the Word of God will fall for all kinds of signs.
OH HOLY LAUGHTER, THE MEDIA PREDICTING END TIMES
I’m amused at how even the media is believing we may be in the “end times.” In the T.V. sitcom Last Man Standing on ABC on 10/17/201 red-neck Mike Baxter, played by Tim Allen, is driving along in his car with his grandson, Boyd, played by Flynn Morrison, in the back seat, and Mike is teaching the little guy about who the good Supreme Court justices were and which ones weren’t when a “sinkhole” opens up and they are forced to turn their car around.
Of course, the discussion follows later at home that evening when the “sinkhole” is shown on the T.V. and Ryan, the boy’s father, played by Jordan Masterson, an environmentalist and he is continually at odds with his father-in-law Mike who owns a sports store where the “Survivalist Preppers” come for supplies. New Ager Ryan said the “sinkhole” was caused from “fracking” and that another day it could open up under their house. While the dad, who doesn’t believe in God but in a “higher power” scares the little boy silly with his “fracking” language, grandpa Mike is attempting to console the little guy telling him God will protect him. Grandma Vanessa Baxter, played by Nancy Travis, is a science and she offers her two cents worth.
And then on a 10/31/2014 ABC’s Wheel of Fortune show had, “It is the End of the World as we Know it” answer to one of the questions.
FRACKING CAUSES GAS PRICES TO FALL
By the way, fracking is another reason our gas prices were falling in October and why America will soon pass Saudi Arabia in Oil Production so the CEO of the company is under attack by the government for some infraction so bring out President Obama’s mentor Papa Alinsky and his RULES FOR RADICALS: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it and polarize it. This orchestrated plan is often used at conservative rallies when they are targeting a certain speaker. For an example, special signs will be made up to attack Obama portraying him as Hitler with a mustache and held by some Obama stooges and the liberal media is told in advance where they’ll be so the coverage at night will be on those signs. This is how the liberals pull it off, folks.
CHRISTIANS STARTING TO PUSH BACK
Whether the media recognizes it or not, the growth of the homosexual movement is simply another “sign of the times” and perhaps the last straw. When God was ready to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah, Abraham thought He was being unjust. He asked God, “Will you destroy the righteous with the wicked? Will you spare the city if there are fifty righteous – 45, 40, 30, 20, 10?” God said “No, He would not destroy the city if ten righteous were found.” But there were not ten, and God sent His angels to get Lot out saying that they could not destroy the city until Lot was out of it. J. Vernon McGee says this is one reason he believed that God would not let the Tribulation come until He takes his born-again church believers out of the world. (John 3:3)
It was reported on November 3rd in Houston, Texas, the 4th biggest city in the U.S., “I Stand Sunday,” a live simulcast featuring Christian leaders from across the country that stood in solidarity with the pastors and churches. This happening because the city’s lesbian Mayor had pushed the envelope a little too far and issued subpoenas to five pastors to review their sermons to see if they had made any disparaging remarks about the sodomite lifestyle. The Houston mayor, Annie Parker later announced the city had withdrawn the subpoenas issued to five pastors for their sermons and private communications regarding homosexuals and transgenderism- another invented word by the liberals for those who don’t know if they are a man or a woman suggesting if there is a God, that He made a mistake.
PICK THE TARGET, FREEZE IT, PERSONALIZE IT AND POLARIZE IT
In September 2013 the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries imposed a $400,000 penalty to be paid to a group of 11 transgendered people banned from the owner’s establishment. It was the first penalty imposed under the 2007 Oregon Equality Act which protects the rights of gays, lesbians, bisexual and transgender Oregonian in employment, housing and public places – another “civil rights” lawsuit. The Supreme Court approved same sex marriage in 2013.
WHY LIBERALS ARE SUCCESSFUL IN CULTURE WAR
America is facing things unimaginable in my lifetime. Selwyn Duke in his 10/20/2014 NEW AMERICAN article Why Liberals Will Not Stop Destroying Civilization as they’ve methodically been striving to undo social norms explains how they’ve pulled it off. Conservatives do fight political battles but they never apply enough energy, intelligently enough, to forestall negative changes. This brings us to a phenomenon he calls “compromising our way to destruction.” Liberals come to the bargaining table asking for a change. Conservatives don’t like it, but, convinced that reasonable people “compromise” and subject to pressure from what the media would have them believe are millions who feel likewise, they give the liberal a percentage of what they want.
Now, some think that the amount of capitulation matters, but over the long term it means little if the liberals get 50%, 35%, 15% or even just 2% of what they want during any given negotiation. For they will come back, one, three, or five years later, again and again, asking for more change, and the conservatives will again give them another two slices here or a few crumbs there. And the process will continue until our civilization continually gravitates toward what we call the “left,” toward what is actually just increasing moral disorder. It is why liberals are successful in the culture war. Many have written about this as the Hegelian Dialectic.

The homosexual movement is one of the more glaring examples and is a precursor to pedophilia. All they wanted initially was not to be discriminated against in the workplace. Then it was “domestic partnerships” and now same-sex marriage is being recognized, they adopt children oftentimes through the government social services agencies who are suppose to protect children and/or they are rich enough to hire surrogate women to have their babies and they convinced the psychiatric industry to take the sin of sodomy off the diagnostic listing and the latest edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental disorders classifies pedophilia as a sexual orientation or preference instead of a disorder.
Whether the Lord will return tomorrow or even in my lifetime, I try not to follow the fear mongering; however, 1 Thes. 5:1-4 in the Living bible asks, “When is all this going to happen…” so when they say “Peace and Safety” they’ll have my attention. Rom. 1:21 says the first indication of turning away from God is murmuring – grumbling, complaining. A thankful heart demonstrates satisfaction, indicating we are resting in the Lord.
