Our Founding Fathers clearly understood that only a citizenry educated in morality and willingly bound by the self-forced chains of virtue can remain free of the chains of tyranny otherwise they become fools! Have we arrived?
If we were living in the era before the Internet in the November 2008 presidential election, the electorate could be forgiven because their resources prior to that time were limited to the mainline, liberal very biased print media that helped put communist sympathesizer FDR in office four times. Things haven’t changed. Today’s liberal media was so busy shamelessly “vetting” former Alaskan governor and Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin and her family, they purposely allowed Barack Obama to slip through the cracks but the “fools” with all this new technology, the Internet and cable news, etc. had no excuse.
In November 2008 three members of the “New” Black Panthers with baton in hand stood in front of a Philadelphia election precinct allegedly trying to intimidate voters. Bush’s Department of Justice began investigating the charge but recently President Barack Obama’s DOJ refused to prosecute. Whistleblower J. Christian Adams, a holdover in the DOJ from the Bush Administration recently quit over this decision by Obama’s DOJ which has indicated it doesn’t want to prosecute black people.
Did this decision by Obama’s DOJ send a subliminal signal to the NAACP to pass a resolution declaring the Tea Party folks as racists? How will the police respond at any of these precincts in the future if this intimidation of voters is allowed to continue? The communist program for targeting police began in the sixties when H. Rap Brown gained fame as the fiery orator and minister of justice of the Black Panther Party. Community policing followed but who has been guarding the guards?
To their credit, Dr. Alveda King, niece of Civil Rights leader Martin Luther King and Stephen Broden, a minister and a Texas GOP congressional candidate, who were guests on Glenn Beck’s T.V. show on July 16th denounced the NAACP’s Resolution saying it only serves to cause more discontent. Along with Glenn, they said they feel as though a “mighty and powerful miracle is coming our way” and people are beginning to wake up and unite because they are turning back to God. I can only pray this is true.
However, is my imagination running rampant or could it come to the point in our legal system where our protectors of public safety – the police- may say “Take This Job And Shove it” and return home to protect their own families or will they tolerate the system so they can retire with a big PERS check that others in the private sector do not receive? More class warfare.
Then there was Major Nidal M. Hasan who slipped through the cracks and eventually murdered thirteen soldiers at Fort Hood. This is another example of affirmative action and political correctness run amok. We are finding more and more that intelligence officers are reluctant to expose themselves to criticism by turning in suspects or reporting suspicious activity such as was the case with Hasan. So, do they, too, just bide their time until they can retire on a fat government pension?
Readers will remember during President George W. Bush’s administration how Border Patrol agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean ended up being sentenced to prison terms of 11 years and 12 years respectively for trying to defend our southern border while the Mexican drug smuggler was given immunity and President Bush did nothing! The border agents were not aware that the smuggler had been wounded. The Mexican government learned of the shooting and demanded that the U.S. government punish the agents for doing their jobs. Now these “hate” groups are comparing our Borders Guards to the Ku Klux Klan. How much more of the illegal immigration problems are the families of these border guards expected to carry? Or will they just bide their time until they can retire with a fat government pension?
A recent FOX video clip showed a white young lady blowing soap bubbles towards police at the G20 Summit. The black policeman warned her to stop. When she persisted, the clip showed her being handcuffed and taken away in a police wagon. There was no mention of what the charge might be. Some say the police are becoming to “thin skinned;” however, while I’ll admit there are bad people in every profession and the police have had their share of men and/or women who may not be psychologically fit for such a stressful job, most of these protectors try to do a good job under some very difficult circumstances and trying to enforce some pretty silly laws. Our culture is simply deteriorating at a rapid pace and disrespect for authority is only one more sign of the times but will these police just bide their time until they can retire with a fat government check?

Oakland, California has been one of the most recent cases where a white policeman was found guilty of manslaughter by a jury and is going to jail for shooting an unarmed 22 year old black man to death as he lay on the sidewalk on his stomach. And now I hear where Oakland is going to lay off hundreds of policemen due to budget problems. The Public Employee Retirement System (PERS) in Oakland as well as hundreds of other cities across the U.S. is having trouble fulfilling the pension obligations. Our Constitution requires public safety before any other unconstitutional U.N. administrative agencies but in order to make people fearful, the first things our government officials do is lay off police, shut off street lights, turn prisoners loose and reduce intelligence gathering into subversive organizations located in the U.S. This is how they get we, the people to succumb to higher taxes and outrageous regulations but what happens when the well runs dry?
A 7/6/2010 newspaper headlines said, “Workplace productivity not a World Cup goal. Focusing on the job takes backseat for global fans. It seems Italian autoworkers went on strike – conveniently, a half- hour before the game time. German companies set up office viewing areas to keep employees from defecting on game days and in Brazil? Well it basically shuts down when its team plays, with businesses and schools closed and elective surgery put off so people can be in front of a T. V.
What about America? A recent caller to a radio talk show said he had reason to go into the room at the Transportation Security Agency (TSA) at an airport during the World Cup games. This room is filled with monitors scanning the bodies of plane passengers. He said there were also TVs and the TSA employees were watching the World Cup games. On another occasion, he saw them watching Opra and Dr. Phil. These workers will eventually retire with a fat government pension and will all vote Democrat.
A July 13, 2010 USA Today article reported on the debate about full-body scans that the TSA spent more than $80 million for about 500 machines which takes about 20 seconds to screen a passenger. This is disputed by the International Air Transportation Association, which represents 250 of the world’s airlines. They claim it took 50 to 70 seconds but no matter how many seconds it takes, if the screeners are watching the World Cup or Opra or Dr. Phil and the Dubai airport security officials announced the machines contradict Islam and wouldn’t be installed there because of privacy y concerns, just how safe are we? Orthodox Jews and Pope Benedict XVI have also opposed the machines.
A July 4, 2010 USA TODAY newspaper said cities are bracing for summer crime and how in Chicago, 40 churches are working to cultivate a “culture of calm.” I notice Mike Pfleger, a Roman Catholic priest is among 40 Chicago churches serving as safe havens this summer and will be providing meals, activities and mentors for 5 to 17-year old youngsters six days a week; however, while this sounds like a noble gesture, isn’t this the same Father Pfleger who is a good friend of Obama’s pastor, Reverend Jeremiah Wright who preaches Marxist Liberation Theology and under whom President Obama sat for 20 years being indoctrinated with social justice philosophy? Could these “safe havens” be summer reeducation recruiting centers in Chicago as well as other bigger cities in the U.S. being trained using Saul Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals?” Could these young recruits become the instigators of riots that could erupt later on? We had a “War on Poverty” in the sixties that was suppose to erase all inequality. However, the riots during that time were financed by billions through the Office of Equal Opportunity (OEO) that provided the agitators.
What will happen when the entitlement checks are no longer delivered because America is bankrupt? Remember the riots in Greece? Do you think we’ll be immune? You can read in Mark 15:8-15 how the “chief priests” whipped up the mob to demand the release of Barabbas instead of Jesus as Pilate had suggested because he knew Jesus had been framed. Are today’s “chief priests” red diaper doper babies from the sixties?
In 1933 during the ascendancy of Franklin D. Roosevelt to the White House, Martin Dies, a Democrat took it upon himself to buck his own party’s rabid opposition to investigating communist subversion and infiltration of government, academia, labor unions and the media. He became the first chairman of the House Committee on Un-American Activities in 1938 and led its efforts until 1945. For effectively exposing Communist subversion he was viciously attacked, just as Senator Joseph McCarthy was in the 1950s. (And today the Tea Party folks).
Open hearings were held in every principal American city (where they were disrupted by riotous mobs) and a tremendous record of Communist subversive activities were amassed through the seizure of records of 160 Communist organizations. Marxism is two steps forward, one step backward so members of these groups simply went underground for a season and regrouped with different sounding names such as “human rights” and “civil rights,” and there are even more Communist groups today all interconnected in an effort to bring down America.

The days of our Founders offering their lives, their fortunes and sacred honor to preserve the Republic are gone so perhaps that is why career politicians begin preparing in 2003 for the Continuity of Government (COG). When anarchy arrives, will we find these politicians hunkering down in their protected bunkers while the rest of us will be left to fend for ourselves?
