Which Democrat Congressman said, “She has class, she’s got talent, she’s a wife, she’s a mother. She’s got all the virtues you need in a good woman candidate"? Answer: House Speaker Tip O’Neil, when he came out in support of Geraldine Ferraro in 1984, as Vice President for Walter Mondale. He also mentioned she was Italian and Catholic and that Ms. Magazine said Ferraro’s other virtues included a radical voting record with a pro-abortion attitude and the “consummate feminist politician.” She supported Roe v. Wade and federal funding of abortions, arguing in 1979, “The cost of putting an unwanted child through the system outweighs the cost of funding those procedures.” Was she implying every “unwanted” child would end up on welfare? The Catholic Church should have excommunicated Ferraro.
In April 1983, the head of the National Women’s Political Caucus spoke of “woman power” and that women were here to stay in politics. Its slogan: It’s a man’s world unless women vote! Women voted for Reagan and women will vote for McCain and Palin in 2008 but it won’t be the “radical feminists,” who fought for “Equal Rights” and tried to break that glass ceiling by putting Hillary in the White House.
Ken, from Sonora, California, who calls himself a geopolitical analyst, brought to my attention that African Americans were first permitted to vote in 1870, whereas American women were not permitted to vote until 1920 and that African Americans were essentially treated with more dignity and respect than the hand that rocks the cradle.
Hillary Clinton thought she was entitled to be chosen as the presidential nominee of the Democrat party and then up popped a black man with a funny name and took away her momentum. Both Hillary and Barack were graduates of the "University of Saul Alinsky" that offered a narrow curriculum of classes -- in only revolution. Although Alinsky died in 1972, community organizers and other change agents have carried on his work. Hillary was introduced to Alinsky through her youth pastor at Park Ridge Methodist church, a very liberal church that does not believe in personal salvation through Jesus Christ but, instead, believes in revolutionary activities.
John Lloyd, former executive of the Kansas Education Association, revealed that Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals published in 1971 was the National Education Association’s “bible” and that Alinsky was hired to train staff members to integrate radicalism into the union. Anyone familiar with the workings of the education establishment agenda, buzzwords, and phrases compared to Alinsky’s book will note the accuracy of Lloyd’s disclosure. Alinsky dedicated his book to “the first radical, Lucifer.” In a recent letter to the Boston Globe, Alinsky's son praised Barack H. Obama for learning well the lessons of his Communist daddy.
Obama further insulted Hillary by not choosing her for his vice president. Under the pretense of change, Obama instead chose liberal U.S. Senator Joseph Biden. Just what America needs, another attorney who had been in the U.S. Senate since 1972...and this is change?
In 1984, Joseph Biden’s liberal votes assisted our nation’s Marxist enemies, while undermining friendly non- or anti-communist regimes. So should we be surprised he favored the give-away of the Panama Canal? The Communist goal has always been to encircle us and internationalizing the Panama Canal was goal #44 for the takeover of America. Biden voted to cut off military assistance to South Vietnam and Laos at a time when neither had yet fallen into Communist hands. He voted to kill an amendment intended to deny Export-Import Bank loans or credits to any Communist country. Today we borrow money from communist China and other countries (even Mexico!) to pay our bills and fund our war.
Vote after vote recorded in the August 22, 1984, Review of the News favored the Communists. At the time, Biden had consistently opposed attempts to balance the federal budget and voted to raise salaries of Congressmen and Cabinet officials. Short of an earth-shattering spiritual encounter with the Lord, it is difficult to change the stripes on a zebra, so I must ask, is Biden’s becoming Barack’s running mate really any kind of change? Not any kind that we'd want, my dear readers!
Then a virtual unknown and unpretentious Annie Oakley, the governor of Alaska, stepped into the spotlight like no radical feminist has ever been able to do -- without first being chosen by the revolutionaries and puffed by the media. Sarah took the wind out of arrogant Barack’s sails.

Ferraro was not only an event, the media said; she was a “happening.” She supported a tough law enforcement and as a prosecutor claimed to have put her share of criminals behind bars. “I didn’t talk about being tough, I was tough.” The governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin, not only is tough on criminals but she kills moose instead of babies. Ferraro is on the horns of a dilemma because if she’s honest she recognizes the media did not pounce on her like they are doing with Sarah Palin. Geraldine Ferraro is between a rock and a hard place in this 2008 presidential election. Her heart was initially on Hillary as president.
When Vice Presidential candidate Geraldine Ferraro was leaving for New York from Minneapolis on August 3, 1984, for a weekend of rest, she was asked by reporters to comment on the resignation of a prominent businessman from the Mondale campaign, after only two weeks of service, she snapped, “I’ll decide when to make comments and it’s not going to be here in the airport.” She then turned to an aide and said, “God, these people are crazy.” Sarah Palin may quietly agree with Ferraro about the media, but she seems to treat even the most obnoxious reporters with respect. If this were not true, her remarks would be front news on every newspaper in America the next day.
Like Barack Obama, Geraldine Ferraro is resolutely “pro choice.” She unequivocally supports Roe v. Wade. But our readers here know that there was never a substantial Constitutional basis for Roe v. Wade. Like people who use illegal drugs in the privacy of their homes, there were doctors who performed safe abortions for women prior to 1973 but the radical feminists wanted more, so they brought out the clothes hanger scenarios and we ended up with unconstitutional Roe v. Wade.
Pro-life voters now look to John McCain to change the Supreme Court but will that happen? Will he buck the judicial activism trend with his appointees? The September 9, 2008, New American told how Republican President Herbert Hoover appointed Charles Evans Hughes as the Court's Chief Justice in 1930 although he had long opined, “We are under a Constitution, but the Constitution is what the judges say it is…”
In 1953, Republican President Dwight Eisenhower nominated Earl Warren , who became one of the most activist Chief Justices in our history. Under Warren, the Court decided Brown v. Board of Education, that used federal power to eliminate discrimination in education by unconstitutionally usurping the power of the states. Brown said that education was a compelling federal government interest, rather than a family and community interest. And then we can jump forward to 1970 when Republican President Richard Nixon appointed Harry Blackmun. In 1973, he wrote the infamous Roe v. Wade decision, which nullified all state anti-abortion laws in a single stroke and led to the unrestrained murder of tens of millions of babies. Alas, Ronald Reagan’s appointments kept abortion legal, so why the big fuss over Judicial appointments?? If our Senators try to block a good Justice, we will flood them with calls and letters. They chose to be elected by the People, so the People can and will hold them accountable. If we unite, we can accomplish mighty and important tasks!

She was on Hannity & Colmes recently and then on 6/17/2003, their guest was Norma McCorvey, the Roe plaintiff, who later repented of being involved in this travesty of justice. She admitted she'd lied during the lawsuit that initiated Roe vs Wade. She never had an abortion -- she gave her baby up for adoption. She said later, that working in the abortion clinics, forced her to accept the truth about abortion. “It’s a violent act that kills human beings and destroys the peace and the real interests of the mothers involved." She became a Christian in 1995. She knows she’s forgiven for the millions of babies aborted due to Roe v. Wade and now works to inform us how much our society has been hurt. Operation Outcry, an organization that ministers to post-abortive women, has thousands of affidavits from women who want to tell their stories -- that they are sorry for what they did and the grief they’ve experienced since their abortions. This must drive the radical feminists nuts! This is why they are so determined to get Barack elected as president. Recently, I have begun to wonder if there isn’t a correlation between abortions and all the antidepressants that women are on today and the many women who are developing breast cancer. Does the abortion do something to a woman’s body that makes her susceptible to cancer and antidepressant drugs?
The Holy Bible accurately tells us that as a man thinks in his heart, so is he. That is, his thoughts dominate his actions and behavior. The problem with presidential candidate Barack Obama is that he has no convictions, only preferences. Being an attorney, he should know he could not go into court with “preferences.” He would have to make up his mind as to what are the facts. He hedges in his responses because he wants to please all voters, which is impossible. No one knows what he believes. Consequently, talk show pundits like Sean Hannity on FOX must rely on Obama’s sound bite about keeping our tires properly inflated and have regular tune ups on our cars to help save on gas. People are persuaded more by the depth of our convictions rather than the height of our logic. This is why Sarah Palin has become so popular. She knows who she is and she stands on her convictions. She proved that by giving birth to a Downs Syndrome baby in 2008. Yes, the media may try to trap her in some of their “gotcha” questions, which they’d never pull on Obama, but all that does is win more votes for her because Americans like fairness and it is more and more obvious that the media is not treating her like they did Hillary or Geraldine or some of the other minor political female players.
In my last Piranha Pundits article I compared Sarah to Deborah, who went to battle while Reuben stayed home to care for the sheep (Judges 5). I used the phrase “for such times as these.” This must have triggered the memory of a respondent who reminded me of Esther 4:14. I’ve been through the Bible several times but when I turned to Esther, one of only two books in the Bible with a woman’s name, I discovered no scribbling in the margins and no yellow highlighted areas. The book of Esther gives us a record of a group of people (Israelites) out of the will of God but He is directing them by divine providence by using Esther. Will He use Sarah Palin in some divine way? Will Sarah have as strong an influence on McCain as his Vice President as Michell Obama had on Barack’s choosing someone other than Hillary as his running mate?
Whereas politics is all about compromise, a Godly influence requires convictions and a commitment to those convictions. The secular handcuffing of Christianity has caused anguish-ridden confrontations in the public square. Genuine Christians march to a different drummer and a concerted effort by the secularists is made to ensure that any public expression of the basic Christian message is silenced and why the scoffers are having a hey-day with Sarah’s faith. Ravi Zacharias, author of Deliver us From Evil, said the extent to which Christian conviction is muzzled reaches new and bizarre dimensions each succeeding year. And it is coming through loud and clear in this unprecedented election.

And last but not least, voters should remember from the time Barack Obama was sworn in as a U.S. Senator to the time he announced he was forming a Presidential exploratory committee, he logged 143 days exerience in the Senate -- and that makes him ready to become Commander in Chief? Be not deceived, Barack Obama is not ready to be our President.
