WE HAVE THE CURE FOR AMERICA
By Tom Ambrose February 20, 2008 NewsWithViews.com On a strange and distant hill,
I never thought I would see the day when I would consider myself to be an anti-war protester. But with Bush's illegal war (Article 1, Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution) and the likelihood that Hillary, Obama, or Democrat-in-drag John McCain will be the next president of the United States, that day has already arrived. There is very little chance that any of these people will bring our troops home because the war is being used to justify an illegal government power-grab that none of these moral pygmies will even want to resist, never mind actually doing so. Indeed, as the war in the Middle East becomes increasingly unpopular, it is very likely that our children will be subjected to another illegal draft since the number of innocents volunteering to be fitted for body bags will continue to decline. Maybe even our daughters this time. Over my cold, dead, and decaying body. My father served our country during World War II in the U.S. Army Air Corps, one of my brothers spent 14 years serving in the U.S. Navy, and I once held a congressional nomination to the U.S. Naval Academy. Largely because of then-President Carter's introduction of political correctness into the military academies, I decided to stay out of the military. But my respect and support for our troops, and my patriotic love for the U.S. Constitution remains undiminished. Even further, I supported U.S. efforts to take down Saddam and his evil offspring. I supported U.S. efforts to destroy the Taliban and hunt down their evil boss. These people were undeniably documented to be involved in bringing terror and destruction to the United States. As such, we had every right to protect our nation and sound reasons to destroy these spawn of Hell. But, folks, there is a difference between surgically destroying terrorists and their benefactors and then using their terror to justify implementing national ID cards, suspending constitutional rights, conducting illegal wars and nation-building, and embracing global government. This is why, I believe, Osama bin Laden remains at large. Make no mistake: This war is not about terror. It's about our government officials gaining power over U.S. citizens. It's about the end of accountability. It's about the end of freedom. This is why our borders continue to allow millions of illegal aliens - and terrorists - to invade our nation. As our economic and physical security continues to vanish, paternalistic Uncle Sam will increasingly step in to "fix" the problem with even more illegal "solutions." Jesus
warned us that in the last days that wars and lawlessness would increase:
Maybe this is the time Jesus was speaking, or maybe it's not. Nobody yet knows for certain. But what is clear is that the vessel that is America is sinking fast, and it is way past time to stop polishing the brass on this sinking ship in the hope that some political savior will see our shiny boat and come rescue us. Political solutions do not exist that will end the evil and corruption in the hearts of men and women. Reagan is dead. Ron Paul's been abandoned by conservative leaders. The Republican Party is capitulating to warmongering, homosexual marriage, gun control, writing hot checks and global government. Libertarians haven't even succeeded with their Free State Project in New Hampshire, never mind national government. And the Constitution Party, even with its excellent platform, appears to be hopelessly mired in internal bickering, inaction, and wishful thinking. The ship is sinking. Quickly. In the end, there is one - and only one - hope that we have. And that hope is found in the person of the Messiah, Jesus Christ. In John 14:6, Jesus spells it out for us: "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me." If ever there was a time to return to the God who has blessed and protected our nation for so long, that time is now.
